"After careful consideration, the University of Michigan will no longer recalculate grade point averages for freshman and transfer applicants to the University."
Rather interesting. My interpretation is that Michigan can now let in students who previously it would have paused on, as the average freshman GPA is no longer recalculated, and will (probably) remain the same as what they've reported historically. Sooo, artificial inflation of the avg. gpa of the incoming freshman class?
