Inside Michigan Football - Jake Ryan

Submitted by Blazefire on

So I just watched Inside Michigan Football on FSD, which just got over a moment ago, which I hadn't seen on Thursday. If you haven't seen it, it finishes with a segment on Jake Ryan, who's going to be killer for us, I believe. However, that's not the thing I noticed most about him. What I noticed most is that he's not sporting the crew cut anymore.

Jake's segment is at about the 9 minute mark. At 9:50, you get a good look at his mop as they discuss it.

Ronnie Bass, anyone?

I know this has been mentioned quite a couple of times on the board, but the current roster has some of the most likeable players that I have seen don the winged helmet.  Great kids, great character.  Can't wait to see them in action today.  Go Blue!

One aspect of the efforts of the former staff that IMO gets overlooked is the quality of person RR's staff recruited. Denard and Jake seem to be more typical of the type of person on this team than the more widely held perception. Aside from the Demar Dorsey hype (what he did as a early teen), not much in the way of off field issues. No peeping toms, not being mentioned in the Fulmer Cup, etc., quality people. I'm sure Hoke will mold these kids into Michigan Men and get credit for it, but these are still RR's kids.

Anyone else get the vibe that Gardner is actually surpasing denard at some aspects of the job? I mean denard can run and run awesome, but the way the coaches talk about devin is that he seems to be making big strides and tbh his thows look more "crisp"

I know it is a PR show aimed at hyping us up and showing how good we are...

...but I am getting a very positive feeling out of this group, the attitude and approach, from the coaches on down. Based on nothing concrete, just a feeling.

Anyone think we can win 9 this year, PLUS a bowl game? I am getting a feeling we can punch out sparty and Iowa (though tougher on the road). Neb and tosseru look the biggest doubts.
