Heres the first episode from inside michigan bball. Lets hope this season can match the excitement from last year.

I did not know such a thing existed. Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed the first couple of football ones like this, but then something happened that made me lose interest.

His connection is that he is from the area and has been a local media mop-up man for years, doing odd jobs like update work and play-by-play for high school title games. He has hosted a show on WDFN in their low-watt era of barely traceable ratings.

He got in on the basketball PBP job during the Amaker era when it probably wasn't a very hot gig, has stayed in the circle and he is rumored to be targeting the football job. I just don't think he is that good. Very dry and still seems to have a bit of trouble keeping up with the pace of basketball games.

His facepalm moment was in the 2006-07 season when he shouted "You wanted a signature win? You got one!" after we beat a not-that-great Indiana team at home. He seems to call games with more of a mind toward impressing his superiors than the listening audience.

I used to like his show on 1130 AM but he takes the same moronic callers everyday that are painful to listen to and goes on politically veiled rants so I dropped it.

I wrote in and complained about something I found particularly egregious (caller using a slur and Shepherd going along with it...no apology to listeners or reprimand or even acknowledgement) and never heard back so I dropped the show.
