I don't think the article addressed RB much though.  I would think getting an elite, 20-carry a game work horse RB with some size in this class is very important for Michigan - as much as say a center or game-breaking WR.  Ty Isaac seems to be the name everyone is throwing around, but the coaches should be going after a bunch of others too in case he falls through.

I'm glad he mentioned the need at center.  I was looking at 2013 offers and still don't see any centers listed.  Does anyone know if there's someone out there on the horizon?

One of the issues is that there just aren't many very good centers out there. 247 lists 0 5-star and only 3 4-star centers in the entire country, and of their top center prospects, there is only one from the midwest, Lovell Peterson from Dayton (4-start).  He must either not be as good as projected, or has some off the field issues given his relatively low number of offers.  Michigan has said to have shown interest, but not an offer... same with Ohio and Alabama.

I can't help but think Michigan is thinking that some of the OT and G prospects they've offered would make better centers than the centers on the board given that they have not offered any of the centers.

Here's the Rivals list of centers in the class of 2007:

See how many names you recognize.  Molk, of course, at #5.  You might also recognize T-Bob Hebert.  Maybe William Vlachos.  You probably don't recognize any other names.  Centers just aren't very heavily scouted, and usually they play other positions in high school (guard or even tackle).

Very seldom do you see a highly rated center.  Being an interior position you often see recruits move to center when they get to college.  Jack Miller didn't play center in HS and neither did Christian Pace who unfortunately is out of football due to injury.
