Petway nails threes to death metal. Seriously.
No, to mitigate the possibility of Gibbons turning the ball over. It only makes sense.
But he really only legitimately missed one. One was blocked and the other was from 52. I still have 100% confidence in him.
To be fair, he deserves a lot of blame for the blocked kick. It was really low. He tends to kick it low at the line, sort of a line drive kicker.
Jack Wangler catches the winning TD pass as time expires and Lee Corso goes apeshit on GameDay.
Don't make predictions because well.....you know!
Michigan 35, Indiana 23
Michigan wins the turnover battle 6-4, and Michigan fans everywhere ask their doctors about Lipitor for their emerging blood pressure issues.
...um, but Lipitor is for high cholesterol, not high blood pressure. (I'm old. 44 today, in fact. So I would know--having been prescribed it, in fact--you kids ;) wouldn't be expected to know that!
Well then I suppose all of our doctors would correct us! :)
Also, Michigan 49 - Indiana 46.
was against Indiana in 1975, when 93+K showed up. Given the disappointing season overall, last week's debacle, and the shitty weather, I wonder what the attendance will be like today. You can bet that the student section will be barely half-filled at kickoff, and I bet it never comes close to filling up. I know there've been other games over the last decade or so where the crowd was visibly smaller than normal, but the official attendance has never been put at under 100K.
In that mid 70s game, was it not a sellout?
I think the number is always supposed to be attendance. In fact, they count unpaid attendees as well (players, band, press box, etc.).
The 1995 5-0 Purdue game in the rain/sleet was never more than 75% full for example. I was there and stayed to the end. It was cool actually, I just followed the line of scrimmage in about row 20 for the 4th quarter. Couldn't have been more than 25,000 there at the end.
Interesting. I have heard about this game, but don't remember it. I do remember a horribly cold, rainy game in the early 80s when hardly anybody was left at the end. In fact, I left after 3 quarters, the only time I ever left before the clock ran down.
I'm sure they don't count who is there at the end of the game. However, I bet they came up with some way to imagine 100K at the beginning of the 1995 game. Maybe they were all huddled in the concessions lines waiting for hot chocolate and coffe (which incredibly is never ready).
Yeah, you make a good point and could be right. However, there have been a few games when based on what I saw I was surprised we were over 100K, not to mention well over that amount. I chalk it up to Dave Brandon's imaginary friends who are always standing by to be counted, if necessary.
On on the third stretch play into the boundry for a losss of three yards on first down I predict that about 1/2 that number will make an unpleasant sound from the stands.
Maybe that sound is just gas from the tailgate chili and burritos.
"An endless stream of complaints"
Welcome to the new MGoBlog with zero moderation. This is your new normal.
Post "horror" was easier to take than where the board is now.
Wouldn't manball mean dismay? Wouldn't manball possibly lead to ruptured spleens by this fan base?
35-17 Michigan. I predict over 100 rush yards from the RB position and we see more Justice Hayes.
I got nothing...I have no faith in Borges or his play calling. We have a dual threat QB and when we use him correctly he is very dangerous, but we decide to run manball. 27 for 27 is not manball.
Michigan - MONKEY RODEO
Indiana - Not
I predict PAIN. For us.
Given that all QBs elevate to god-like status when playing us, I'm gonna say that Sudfeld throws for 400 yards and they run for 100 more. In addition, Gardner throws his requisite 2 picks. Burzynski and Magnuson get smoked for 4 sacks before being pulled for Bosch and Bars. They proceed to give up 3 more sacks. Touissant gets 10 yards on 15 carries. Countess gets burned 5 times but gets a pick six.
Final score: Indiana 63, Michigan 17
Aren't you just a ray of sunshine?
Over-confidence before the fall. With epic badness on the O-line, one can't enter any game confident. I'm not going to predict anything this time. Maybe that'll help. Well, I'll predict that I will watch the game.
I forgot to add - the game will be tied at
Halftime 14-14 and then LSAClassOf2000 will start a post game snowflakes thread and then Indiana will score 49 points in the 2nd half.
+ a lot
That I'm drinking a beer in the golf course.
Spell check bro
I'm hoping we can't run on IU. If we are successful under center man ball, Borges will take it as we have miraculously developed that ability, and use that gameplay for STAEE.
So you are hoping for failure? Good job.
Predikshuns: X.) I will drink hard. 1.) Al will Borges. b.) Greg will Matti's on. 3.) Brady will Hoke. a<) Jake will MF Ryans. IV,) Devins will Garden in Funches. 8*) Food Will Hunting. Final Skol: Michigan - thirtyeleven / InDiana.thriveteen.
Predictions. Hate the over ones. I took the under.
Michigan wins, 7-6.
For the sake of MGoBlogdom's collective blood pressure, I hope you're right.
Opponents know this and see the game with us as a statement game they can win. Indiana knows they are better than Akron and they beat PSU. They are ready for a win.
Indiana is prepared for our tendencies, plays like it's their bowl game, and hits a last minute field goal.
IU 30 - Michigan 28
I have no idea what to expect after seeing the magnuson and burzinyski to start news. I'm guessing more air raid than manball
More shotgun, more shotgun, and they will probably hold up fairly well, even though it won't be reflected in the score.
Final is 44-30 Michigan.
A total shit show.
Luckily under hoke we have never lost back to back games yet i don't think.. I think the gameplan is vastly different, and we throw a lot more in this game because IU's pass defense is pathetic... I think our defense also plays better at home and having Ryan play some more will help quite a bit.
It comes down to the same thing every game.. People can complain about playcalling, or our O-Line, but if Devin wouldn't have thrown so many Int's agains Akron, and Uconn, and PSU we win all those games by 2 to 3 touchdowns and we are scoring 40-45 pts a game..
I don't think anyone would be bitching.. Everyone would be talking about how many points we could be scoring if we had a solid run game
Does Ohio State and South Carolina count from last season?
It will be interesting, as in close and it will not be for the faint of heart. I have taken my Lisinopril - actually FOR blood pressure control, I know I will be frustrated and angry at times. I also know that Michigan is 5-1 and MSU scored 42 on these guys. We CAN and WILL win this game.
Michigan - 38
Indiana - 27
We won't praise Borges, but we won't crucify him either he will redeem himself for this week anyway. The defense will save this one in the second half today.
GIBBONS YOU PUT IT THROUGH THE UPRIGHTS ARGH!
We'll be OK and we win. RELAX!
Zone blocking, zone read, more passing......
