They are dueling pianos I got them in a bar packed with lsu and tennesse fans to play hail to the victors, all the lsu fans sang and backed me up me and cheered to support michigAn
further adventures in Jed York being unsuited for his position
Is this the Mgoblog equivalent of a drunk dial?
Got that out of the way - now go to a real bar.
Pretty much a drunk dial but is itnworse than the 90 dee hart threads, I'm just trying to show sec fans do respe t our 20 and 5 record. And in my sxperience 90% of sec fans respect the big ten beyond record
Guys, I got this one:
is itnworse than the 90 dee hart threads
Yes. Yes, it is.
I hope your not driving my man! Save a life and call a cab.
New Orleans rules... great place to be a hobo.
Can you put in some relatively simple math problems that you have to solve each time you post?
Also, can every post not be titled "posted from iPhone"? I have an admittedly irrational seething hatred of that. It's like the iPhone kids are mocking me for being technologically backward.
FUCK YOU IPHONE KIDS MY MOTHER SAYS I HAVE OTHER REDEEMING QUALITIES!!!
But if the subject doesn't say "posted from iPhone" then how are we supposed to know if they are cool or not?
It only says that if you fail to put in anything for the subject. It's a way for the iphone kids to separate the cool from the wannabes.
Alright you arrogant ass, I'm glad you feel superior to most Michigan fans who followed the team our whole lives. 2x2 =4 Im glad you can now classify me with "the walmart" wolverine fans even though my family has had the tickets since 1951
chill out, dude.
(Taking this on a slight tangent...) Why is it that when someone is frustrated, upset, enraged etc. and they're told to "chillout" or "relax" they get even more angry, enraged?!
I'm pretty sure that the math problem comment was in reference to preventing drunk posting, a la Gmail's Mail Goggles: http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2008/10/new-in-labs-stop-sending-mail-you-later.html No one's calling out your ability to solve basic math problems.
And this has been discussed multiple times on the board, any and all Michigan fans are welcome, not just alumni.
My guess is that he's getting defensive because he can't do math.
Ah, even more lethal than the drunk post: the shitfaced response to a snarky post about the original drunk post.
Drunken posts are comedy gold!
+1 just for creating the iPhone app that facilitates such comedy gold.
Most SEC fans do not respect the Big Ten. I live in New Orleans, and I can assure you that most of the LSU and Tennessee fans are showing you that southern hospitality. In reality, almost all of them think the almighty SEC is by far the best conference in the world.
On a side note, be careful with those Hurricane. Those things are very sneaky. You can barely taste the alcohol in them, but a few of them will lead to a "What the hell happened last night?" morning. Be safe and enjoy New Orleans. It really is an amazing city.
SEC fans don't really respect any conference. I really don't care what they think to be quite frank. That mentality might work on their neighboring ACC fans, but as a Michigan fan, I couldn't care less.
I don't root for OSU when they play SEC schools. But I'd bet you a Georgia fan would root for the Gators against any other conference. That's just weird... and personally, I think they have a complex constantly talking about how great they are. Let's Go Blue!
This is absolutely true. Alabama fans despise Auburn, but if Auburn is playing in a bowl game, it's SEC SEC SEC. I ask about this every bowl season and get the "you don't understand, you're not from around here" look. Weird.
I think you meant to say "I could care less"
and in case it's (sadly) necessary... /s
Sure, "only they can give you the 'hurricane'" ...but there's a million other bars pretty much across the street that are just as good if not better, and probably cheaper as well.
Some words of advice: you haven't really partied in New Orleans until you've arm-wrestled a bearded crossdresser. You stick with those words of wisdom, you'll do alright.
Are you sure that was his arm?
This is a very strange thread.
If you find your way across the street, watch for the railing up stairs on the balcony. Not sure if that part is still open but that rail was lose.....at least I think it was the rail.
Have fun man.
The reason why SEC fans root for the SEC against all other conferences is cultural/nationalistic -- it goes back to the fact that the South sees itself as a quasi-country. We don't have that same sense of nationhood about the Midwest as a region -- though those of us who are Michigan natives might feel that way about Michigan as a state (e.g., I really dislike MSU but I root for them in bowl games).
If you get tired of Bourbon st. you should really try to see more of the french quarter. Ask around until you find a flaming dr. pepper, keep heading straight down Bourbon to run into French St. and check out the amazing local music, food, and bars that locals enjoy, and if you have a chance, walk a few blocks over to Port of Call for one of the best burger/jacket potato combos you could ask for.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!
