I'm loving everything John Beilein does more and more

So my GF and I are UF basketball fans (I hate the football team) and this loss kinda sucked.  I am so happy with the way Beilein recruits, coaches, and runs the program.  I am so sick of these uber athletic, ego driven, selfish, unintelligent players who take bad shots and don't listen to their coach.  The end of that game was so unbelievable, I know Billy D is a good coach and isn't Les Miles, he knows clock management at the end of games, so it must be his players just don't listen to him.  I am so glad we recruit high IQ (on and off the court) unselfish, team driven players who will soak up the coaches knowledge and run the plays he says to.  I'm glad we have players who will look for teammates when a shot isnt there.  I just can believe how selfish Erving Walker is, I'm glad we don't have players like him on this team.  Here is to next season.

Curious ... in any post-game interviews, did anyone admit that Walker didn't run the plays that were called?  Or are you just assuming that...

even if he didnt run a different play (he did), that isnt going to come out of the locker room so we'll never know.  But come on, that is no way to play the end of the game, he didnt need to shoot a 3 the first time, especially from that far out.  I have seen several games this season where Billy D has sat Walker down for taking stupidly bad shots so I am assuming its another one of those instances.  I'm just so over watching selfish basketball, it doesn't even interest me anymore compared to how U of M plays

You need to relax, but I don't think there are racial undertones there. I don't think that you're insinuating that white players are smarter than black players, because John Beilein has recruited some very intelligent black players (Darius, Morgan, and Hardaway) that wouldn't have jacked up terrible shots like that.

Have you not noticed how announcers often use certain adjectives disproportionately towards one race or another? White guys have moxie and play intelligently, black players are undisciplined athletic freaks. White_poney couldn't stop with loaded words that adhered to that narrative.

Like of course black guys run faster and jump higher than whites, but whites can hold their own because of their intelligence and determination!

what happened to the days when a quick fight was a acceptable way to fix a slight against you?  I must be getting old but when I was growing up and even when I was in high school in the late 90's, if you beat the shit out of somebody who talked shit they won't talk shit anymore, and once the fight is over its over for good.  Now everyone is so quick to call cops and file lawsuits, society has turned into a bunch of pussies.

And getting back to the accusation of bigotry--I doubt you felt you were making a suspect comment BUT you accused the whole team of being stupid, not just one guy.

I'm finishing a PhD at UF and admire Billy and hate the football team(s), too, so I was feeling ya. But dangadoodle dude. . . the good old bad old days of the 90s when you could take it outside without pu**ies calling the cops? ? ? You are one classy person!

FWIW UF had an overtime game just a few nights ago and came out and cleaned up, right? Even if Walker had a brain fart and believed he could win it with the (wide open) three, don't waste too much time hating on a KID, would be my advice. Again, those are KIDS out there. That's part of what makes college ball fun.
