Illinois stuns Indiana
Uhh, who cares whos #1 now?.
Any time a top 5 team loses its good news. That much more likely to get the #1 overall seed in the tourney.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
That was my point, as long as we keep winning, being ranked #1 doesn't mean much...not sure why people would downvote that.

I didn't downvote you, but if the only way to avoid being #1 is to lose, then . . . no thanks. Give me the ranking.
Not only will indiana lose on the road to Michigan, ohio, state, minny. They just lost to illinois.
They just can't win on the road.

Doesn't bode well for their tourney chances, that's for sure.
Easy there. You're implying a LOT. Who says IU won't come kick our ass again at home? Who says they'll lose in Columbus. And do you really think they'll lose to Minnesota? I don't.
Name me the last significant road win indiana has had.

No one wins on the road in the Big Ten. Tonight made that quite clear.

Michigan beat illinois by double digits on the road and top-10 minnesota on the road this season.

but we dominated Illinois and Minnesota at their place ...
Go Blue!
No place on earth I'd rather be on a football Saturday than Michigan Stadium !
I understand your point but am just pointing out that what you're implying is honestly improbable, at least in my opinion. If we were talking about a mediocre team then yes, I'd be on board to say they're going to lose their road games and probably win at home. We could be arguing how good Indiana really is, I suppose, but if we agree that Indiana is one of the better teams in the country I honestly don't think they'll lose 4 more games because they're "on the road". I guess I just feel they're better than that. But, as tonight shows, sh*t happens and anything's possible, so.
the SF is great and all, but this really speaks to the depth of the league and how good M has been in the 1st half of the conference schedule. We have 2 tough losses on the road to 2 of the top 3 contenders (besides us of course). 2-2 in this 4 games stretch is all we need to pretty much lock a B10 title, maybe outright.

We're not arrogant, we're just better.
Autocorrect for Oladipo?
Seriously, autocorrect does some strange things...
Karma for his game against us.
Textbook layup.
Here's hoping for a bright future. This team does try hard and I will continue to support them.
They're all pretty great, but I think the best reaction comes from the first shirtless fan at the bottom of the screen.
What the hell is Zeller doing there? Didn't get confused on a switch - just looked like he thought this game was going to OT regardless. Weird.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
Looks like he is trying to get it out of his hands as fast as possible.
I wish the camera would have been on Crean after that play.

People need to embrace being number 1. Why would you be scared? This is Michigan!
Win in Madison and we're #1 again!!

#2 Florida and #1 Indian lost, will we end up being #1 if we take care of business against Wisconsin? Crazy season...
Come on guys..I know it's been awhile since we've been elite but let's try to at least act like we've been there before (even though its been awhile).
We're obviously #1. FLA lost by 25 to a team we beat. Kansas lost to TCU, Indiana lost to Illinois who we beat on the road. Try not to act so surprised..jesus
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
Huge not only for the Big 10 title race but for the race to get the #1 seed in the midwest and stay relatively close to home for the regional.
HUGE! So your saying there's a chance?!? We just need to hold up our end if the deal and win at home...
What every longshot, come from behind, underdog will tell ya is this... The other guy, may in fact, be the favorite. The odds may be stacked against you, fair enough. But what the odds don't know is...this isn't a math test.
I dont think I want the #1 ranking heading into East Lansing. It's asking for an infuriating loss
but to not get it means we'd have to lose at WIsconsin, which does not guarantee not having an infuriating loss at MSU.
So it goes.
Nice losers mentality. I'm sure MSU will try much harder if Mich is #1 as opposed to #2.
God damnit you guys. Why is it so hard to admit we're probably the best and most complete team in the nation?
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
I'm with you. And if you go back you'll see I called my shot and said Michigan was the #1 team in the country way back before the season even started. I took shit for it but I said we were the best and Indiana was overrated as Hell.
We are one of them, but I think it's a stretch to say that Michigan is THE best and most complete team. The "completeness" is particularly hard to defend, since Michigan has non-trivial issues with defense and free throws.

How can this team have 3 wins against top 10 teams and lose at home to Northwestern? And on the road to Purdue?
Keep your stick on the ice.

people would stop worrying about being ranked # 1, I'd rather win and beat Wisc, get ranked on top and worry about future crap when we get to it
Does Illinois get in at like 6-12 in conference? 7-11 and they've gotta be in, right? 20-11 with wins over Indiana, OSU, Gonzaga (road), and Butler (neutral court).

With the way the dominoes are falling, even if we lose as #1, we will be right back at the top after a couple games. I'm cool with being #1, Michigan is not going to lose at MSU. I'm actually more worried about Wisconsin and our team relying on the 3 ball when they are only alotted 15 possessions in the game.
