Illinois was better than Rutgers. 41-8 is the result. Good effort by the good guys. Now we get ready for State

Michigan went intimate a different and more bland version of vanilla in the second half. I'm guessing to keep the kids healthy for the gang bang next Saturday!!!
October 22nd, 2016 at 6:51 PM ^
had me at intimate and gang bang.
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:10 PM ^
Isn't a gang bang by definition not an intimate thing?
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:51 PM ^
That isn't necessarily true...I suspect. Frequently "non-intimate"? Probably. Always? Well, humans are fucking weird.
October 23rd, 2016 at 8:28 AM ^
Well, humans are fucking weird.
What are you, a Klingon?
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:06 PM ^
I feel like we held back a lot of stuff today, maybe a bit rusty after the bye week or complacent after the big early lead.
No matter, get ready for next week and lay some punishing revenge on the couch burners!
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:27 PM ^
My wife hates it when my intimate is a more bland version of vanilla.
October 22nd, 2016 at 6:51 PM ^
Well that score could have been a lot more lopsided. Harbaugh clearly had respect for Lovie Smith. And Lee's game film for sparty, obviously.
October 22nd, 2016 at 6:58 PM ^
Why is Lee giving game film to Sparty?? Screw that guy

doubt he would be calling a fake punt up 34-0. The handshake was about as cold and quick as it gets.
October 22nd, 2016 at 6:51 PM ^
vanilla game. pain next week.
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:03 PM ^
Agreed. Very vanilla for most part. Still dominated

The real schedule starts now. The bullshit stops now.
MSU is going to bring the house next Saturday. We'd better be ready for anything. Beat State.

Nope, real schedule started 7 weeks ago and were 7-0.

No he meant the really real schedule. The REAL one. Not the one you are thinking of-he means the "real" one.
Get it?

Does the athletic department release the first 7 game fake schedule and the last 5 game real schedule?

good doing it. Lot of players got reps too.
October 22nd, 2016 at 6:55 PM ^
At all. We're playing very well and they're hot garbage this year. Doesn't matter how dirty they play or what sort of witchcraft they use, MSU gone die.

That delayed draw (to a FAST rb) is deadly. My favorite play of the game was the misdirection toss to McDoom in the first quarter

sure is deadly. looked like evans mightve been concussed, hopefully its not too bad (which is obviously relative) and hes able to return soon. healthy higdon and evans dial up the rushing O to a level not seen at m in few years, those guys make a huge difference. smith and isaac are nice players but the 2 youngers backs make this O much more versatile and explosive, itd be great to see all 4 healthy and carrying the rock in november
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:32 PM ^
It was announced later in the game that he appeared to be OK, but was being held out as a precaution.
October 22nd, 2016 at 9:10 PM ^
Am I the only one who thought that was a questionable hit on Evans? That Illini is lucky he didn't give himself a concussion too
October 22nd, 2016 at 6:56 PM ^
It looked like everyone got bored sometime in the 2nd quarter. We knocked em out and then fought to care the rest of the way
October 22nd, 2016 at 6:57 PM ^

Best start since 2006 when Bo was still alive. His passing seemed like the harbinger of bad times for the program, but now all that seems thankfully in the past.
October 22nd, 2016 at 6:57 PM ^
Players were looking ahead. Next up, no mercy.
October 22nd, 2016 at 6:58 PM ^
Lovie Smith is a good coach
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:48 PM ^
Their defensive front 7 is pretty decent and they kept fighting for the whole game.
October 22nd, 2016 at 6:58 PM ^
That fake McDoom key sweep where he did a 180 and was wide open was brilliant. Kinda wish we would have saved it for next week though.
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:02 PM ^
There's probably a reason we put it out there today, though.
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:50 PM ^
Eh.... Showing a trick play early in the season is not a big deal IMO. Other teams may scout it all they want, but they will never have enough practice time to prepare for all trick plays, plus Michigan gives so many different O looks that there is almost Zero Chance that a Defense will be remembing that play in a particular game in the right situation.
October 23rd, 2016 at 9:14 AM ^
Having this out there is better - will keep the defense from keying on the jet sweep once McDoom goes in motion. Should keep them honest because the play could go either way and make the original jet sweep more effective.

For weeks.
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:01 PM ^
I think he respects Lovey Smith. I don't think he respects anything about Rutgers. My main worry next week is injuries from dirty play.
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:07 PM ^
That kind of shit will really piss me off. If they start diving at knees that will be the most MSU thing ever.
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:01 PM ^
Not a football observation per se, but as someone who is looking to get new glasses, I must say that I did like Harbaugh's Woody-esque frames, although the mention of "Falling Down" got points with me too during the broadcast because I happen to like that movie.
October 22nd, 2016 at 7:08 PM ^
I think we all love that movie. We have issues stemming from the recent history of our team. Coach seems like the Douglas character in the movie, fed up with the goings on. He's here to rampage on the rest of the B1G. We can only pray for their souls!
