In the post game press conference, Izzo says they had some outside distractions this week (presumably the inquiries into MSU's response to sexual assault complaints) and goes on to say about the media that he was "disappointed in some of you".  It sure seems like he is blaming his team's effort on the media asking pesky questions?!  #LOL

MSU. Izzo indeed alluded to the investigation and the 2 guys involved in the 2010 incident did have poor games. The Feds do nothing quickly, so the distraction will probably continue for awhile. Ironically, Izzo now has a real issue but he can't use it as an excuse because he can't really talk about it. He's trying, but the media won't play along without something tangible like the injuries.

Staee lost because Dawson came back tonight and they haven't had time to adjust to him. I'm serious, Jim Jackson said so.

Honestly Izzo may be done. He sounds like a wimp that got dumped. I've never seen worse leadership. Excuse, whine, excuse, wine, excuse, whine. If a coach isn't going to be a man how can you expect the players? I don't like Staee but I genuinely hate what a horrible human being Izzo is when things don't go his way. It's utterly pathetic.

I can't wait to see what MSU looks like over the next two years. Izzo went all in on the Jabari Parker sweepstakes and LOST!! Izzo has to know he is in trouble.

We were following this online and were so happy, but we wondered why they didn't announce it at Crisler. I guess Coach Beilein didn't want the team to know? They announced it after the game was over so everyone could cheer. It was awesome.

Izzo quoted in the State Journal: “Well, Keith Appling is a major problem right now,”

Can you imaging John Beilein hanging a player out to dry after a loss??? Seem like Izzo is losing it in some respects.  You watch him during a game and it is almost like he is a madman out of control.  And then he coaches by berating his players in the newspaper.  But I guess he has always done that...

but I think he meant his wrist injury. They were commenting on TV how he was having trouble dribbling with the injured wrist. I think I remember him falling on the court and extending his hands out to two other players for help getting up. I'd think that would also hurt.

Regardless, it's just another excuse. We lost our preseason all American as well as two guys who are doing very well in the NBA and have been cleaning up on the B1G. If he's hurt, sit his ass on the bench and play someone else. Oh wait, you have no other players because your recruiting has sucked.
