IL DE Josh Augusta Offered
Peoria, IL (Yes LTT's town) DE Josh Augusta was offered by Michigan recently.
Josh stands at 6'5", 275!!! and plays both sides of the pitch (yet another potential TE!)

Josh holds offer from Iowa and Illinois and is only starting to garner attention in the B1G. Look for his recruitment to blow up in the future given his size and atheleticism.
Not sure what position he's being recruited at Michigan but his highlights are TREMENDOUS!
can only help. If I was a recruit it would go favorite schools or schools, then the teams who always wanted me not just when I blew up or after all the others offered so we should also.
is this kid rated on any sites
he is NR but as theOP said he is under the radar just getting attention now. So he probably isn't rated yet on most the other sites yet either. But if we offered then he is the real deal cause Hoke says so.
And schools like Illinois and Iowa, even though they aren't top-10 recruiting schools, don't throw out offers to just anybody. A kid who has three Big Ten offers by the end of February is legit.
a mid 3 star with the potential to rise to 4 star on senior and camp performances.
For his size, he moves extremely well.
Wow - that would be a big TE. In fact, maybe bigger than AJ Williams, who is a huge TE.
I wouldn't be surprised if this guy grows into a 3-tech. 6'5" 275 is really big for a DE at 17 years old.
After Campbell I just have the huge fear with tall DTs that they won't learn to play low.
But that's much more a Campbell thing than it is a tall thing. Both RVB and Heininger played DT well for us this past year, and they're both an inch taller than BWC. Lots of teams have DT who are 6'5" or 6'6". Wormley will likely play DT, and some say he's now 6'7".
I never said it was rational to be worried about that.
it woulld be interesting to see how big this kid gets. i wonder how much interest he has in michigan
feel quite right, does it. Not sure if he's a member here, but one of the recruiting blogs Brian's linked on left side is put together by a Brit.
His site had quite some following but obviously he did not have the resource and eventually lost interest of keeping it up.
I know the guy who runs the mgorecruit site is also in school full time and he dedicated time to the site when he could. I think once he's out of school, he can devote more time to it, but with his limited resources and course load he did a great job.
site that I found for Michigan recruiting. I googled "Michigan recruiting" and that site came up first. Mgoblog was also in the first page of the search, but the web page showed only an old summary for year and position of each scholarship athlete and with no home page to click.
Mgorecruit also provided other links and eventually I click the Mgoblog link. This site has the most up to date recruiting information as well as other topics. Nevertheless, I continued to visited Mgorecruiting for an excellent short summary of recruiting activities.
Good luck to Benji. Go Blue! (not necessarily Everton).
After seeing his film(s), I think the staff is more DE than TE on Augusta. Definitely looks like he enjoys contact and doesn't shy away from it.
He looks like a DE to me. You never know what will happen his senior season or when he gets to college, but his size and skillset seems better fitted to DE. He's already a pro-size DE. He could probably add another 10 lbs. of muscle and be an NFL-sized DE with very good athleticism...I'm drooling now.
annoying though. Once I figured out which player he was, I was impressed, but it was kind of annoying trying to find the guy, then rewind the play every time. Mix in an arrow or something.
Ed: I realize he's been flying under the radar, so maybe they haven't put together a clean and neat comprehensive highlight film yet. But they really need to, because that kind of stuff is what keeps people under the radar. Coaches at top programs are sifting through thousands of tapes, they don't want to have to figure out where he is, and if he's on offense or defense. (Sorry, from a marketing standpoint, that just drives me crazy- probably more than it should)
