Ihedigbo: "Brown will make Michigan a national title contender"
December 21st, 2015 at 11:59 PM ^
Heck yes he will.
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:00 AM ^
I was wondering if anyone has done a list of Browns players who have had success in the NFL. Ihedigobo is one I guess.

Browns players... Steve Everitt?

I see what you did there

I had replied to someone who asked about Browns players but meant Brown's players. But it disappeared!
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:02 AM ^
Before Brown arrived at Boston College, the Eagles had six sacks. After one season under Brown, they had 36 in 2013
Wow. 6 sacks in 100+ years of football and Brown gets them 6x that the next season? This hire looks better and better every day
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:12 AM ^
Lol. That can't be right.
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:19 AM ^
It's not. 6 the year prior, not program prior

Wikipedia could not confirm

how do you type out the sound made when sarcasm goes right over your head?
December 22nd, 2015 at 7:28 AM ^
Whoosh?
December 22nd, 2015 at 8:11 AM ^
Sonic boom.

I think it's found next to the sound for trying too hard to be a douche.
December 22nd, 2015 at 1:03 AM ^
No, I think you're wrong.
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:15 AM ^
That's one sack every twenty years until Brown got there.
I don't know if he can maintain that level of improvement coming to Michigan now.
December 22nd, 2015 at 7:35 AM ^
So with our sack every 20 plays...we should get 36 sacks per play next year!
December 22nd, 2015 at 8:36 AM ^
I'm not great at the math, but this seems correct to me.
December 22nd, 2015 at 11:47 AM ^
can confirm that this is in fact possible, especially when you are playing Temple for some reason.
December 22nd, 2015 at 5:59 PM ^
he should equal, in his first year, the number of sacks we would otherwise expect in 720 years of playing football.
December 22nd, 2015 at 10:58 AM ^
I looked up his record. I was surprised to see he was a really accomplished head coach! That surprised me that he went back to being a coordinator. But I love that he did!
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:02 AM ^
Bill Belicheck approved!

Because we have to make the playoffs next year or we'll never hear the end of it. I could live with OSU winning last year, MSU getting bounced out by Bama this year, and us winning it next year. There's a nice symmetry to it.
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:13 AM ^
If we were to win next year, a MSU win wouldn't be as bad as it could be. Three B1G teams in three years would get all of that SEC worship over with.
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:19 AM ^
As long as somebody beats the SEC this year, that will do it. They will have gone 3 straight years without winning the NC, after winning it 7 years in a row.
It does not have to be MSU though.
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:22 AM ^
the world in which you live:
Three B1G teams in three years would get all of that SEC worship over with.
The only thing that will do that is an accidental test-firing of the "Star Wars Peace Platform (r)" that turns ES(EC)PN headquarters into a glass ashtray.
December 22nd, 2015 at 1:30 AM ^
we win next year, AND MSU doesn't win this year.
December 22nd, 2015 at 10:02 AM ^
Plus they'd still say, "we won the playoff first."
December 22nd, 2015 at 10:39 AM ^
It's bad enough that OSU has that over us, but for MSU to win a CFB NC before we do is completely unacceptable.
In fact, I don't ever want that school even sniffing the Big 10 Championship game again.

“With the duo of Harbaugh and coach Brown, an offensive genius and defensive genius together, that’s why I say they can win a national championship."
I like the way this guy thinks.
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:21 AM ^
I wouldn't really consider Harbaugh an offensive genius. He's more of a coaching genius.

Well many people do consider him offensive...
December 22nd, 2015 at 8:30 AM ^
Very nice.
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:22 AM ^
Crazy thing is is we were in the playoff discussion THIS YEAR.
We already are a national contender. In year one.
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:44 AM ^
The f'd up thing, is with OSU being in our division and always being the last game of the season, it's shaping up to be a 4 game playoff for either OSU or UM -- The Game, B1G Championship, Playoff Semifinal, Playoff Final.
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:58 AM ^
F'd up? or awesome?
December 22nd, 2015 at 12:59 AM ^
Not sure you can call the B1G championship game a playoff game. The winner of MSU, OSU, and UM will vastly outclass all B1G west teams for the forseeable future.
December 22nd, 2015 at 1:06 AM ^
Iowa played msu very close this year. I'm sure Wisconsin will improve going forward, but I agree they won't consistently be on our divisions level.

Everyone played msu very close this year. #dammit
December 22nd, 2015 at 9:45 AM ^
That's because they're a bit of a fraud this year.

wasn't that uncompetitive this year.

(1) their only loss was to a West team,
(2) of the 3 B1G games they won by 3 points (lowest margin in any of their B1G wins), 2 of those were against West teams.
