What. The. Fuck.

Seriously?  She just lied there for 3 days and they not only failed to get her medical attention but also did not give her food or water?

How in the hell can you just let your mother die on the floor? How in the hell can you live in a house with a decomposing body? I can't imagine how terrible the smell would be. And they claimed they didn't have enough money, yet there were bank statements totalling 700K??? I know funerals aren't getting any cheaper, but I'm pretty sure 700 grand would cover it

I think it's just as plausible that she came in ranting and raving about her two shiftless, good-for-nothing idiot suns just sitting there watching football again in their underwear, and Edwin whacked her on the noggin to keep her quiet while the game was on.

The only time I might do that if ND was playing.  But since that likely is not going to happen anytime soon, I am not worried.

If you had twin sons who still lived at home at 48 that were this uhh... incapable, would you ever ask them for any help? Their help would be more likely to kill you than anything else!

Well if it isn't the two largest fans of the Internet on MGoBlog! I would recommend both of you to try and shut off your computer...go outside...smell the flowers...meet a girl or two.....but I'm sure you two studs don't need my advice.

Keep on keepin' on.

Ouch.  I just got dissed by our resident Justin Bieber fan/future To Catch A Predator star.  At least I know that discretion is the better part of valor when dealing with other posters I don't like, Mr. 3-point-e-peen.

As you were.

I actually am excited for tonight. The first night without the girlfriend (more like mother sometimes) is always exciting, plus no class tomorrow. I forsee a lot of alcohol consumption and more than a few games of BP.

The only question is what to drink...I'm not going to spend money on my usual (a good twelve pack)...maybe some cheap wine tonight.

That dude should have started a thread calling justingoblue a douche, instead of Section 1. Would have made for a much better read...............plus it would have been true.

LOL..........JK

but not really.

I don't know what the law is in Texas, but in just about every other jurisdiction, you don't have an affirmative obligation to save someone's life and could not be charged with murder under these circumstances.

The exception is where some special relationship exists, such as parent-child (if a minor), caregiver-patient, husband-wife, etc.

The prosecutor may be alleging a special relationship, but I'm not so sure child-parent would qualify in most places.

There was a newsworthy case out of Canton Township a few years ago where two drug addicted 20-something girls lived together and one of them ODed. The other girl, instead of calling for help, let her roommate die, then pretended to be the dead girl to trick the dead girl's parent's into sending her money. The Wayne County prosecutor charged the girl with fraud, but couldn't charge her with anything arising out of her roommate's death since Michigan law imposes no affirmative obligation to help someone in need.
