If Winter Classic is cancelled, GLI will move indoors

This really sucks. Badly. Especially for those (me) who spent a large amount of money on GLI tickets hoping it would be outdoors.

I've been wondering this for a while now. Definitely not happy about the date change though. I just submitted my holiday time-off requests and changing them might not be possible if it gets moved up, and it might interefere with a bowl trip if it moves back.

They're probably just going to change it back to Friday/Saturday, which is what they wanted all along, since it'll maximize attendance. Some of the early press releases even say the games would be Friday/Saturday, and I'm guessing the NHL made them change it to Thursday/Friday to leave more time for the alumni game and other events. Having the games on the weekend is especially important if you don't have the novelty of playing on Comerica Park to convince people to skip work for the game.
