If u want to be coached by grandpa, well...........

Michigan might be the place to be. Believe me, at age 58 I'm not an ageist of any type. I happen to like the experience factor these two coordinators bring, but when I saw their pics, side-by-side, respectively, I was forced to acknowledge the fact these two might be appealing to a generation that favors knowledge over youth. They aren't in the Pete Carrol mode to be certain. They should have a strong appeal to the parents of h.s. athletes due to the fact they will feel they're handing their sons over to grounded, very mature adults who are still capable of teaching them the game. I don't want Hoke to become known as Brady Carr; actually my biggest fear is returning to that era. I'm hoping Brady realizes his limitations and borrows extensively from these two, while maintaining control over the program. It's not a bad idea. He'll have more talent at his disposal than he's ever had and after three years, we'll field a semi-experienced team. Let them coach Brady, and you'll probably reap the rewards.

What/??

Your biggest fear is returning to an era when we had a good winning percentage and beat our rivals consistantly.  I'm confused?

I get it loyd was predictable and a lil conservative. Doesn't mean Hoke will be whatsever. Even if he runs "pro style". Plus sometimes being predictable wins games! If you out exacute the opponent you can rush the whole second half of a game ala wiscy this year.

How come all these coaches , with all these diffrent schemes and takes on the game. Can all win championships? Spread , west coast , option , pro style ect..

Because they execute what they do well. Among many other things. You get my point.

97 michigan didn't have a crazy offense. But the sure did play defense and executed what they did best.

So you think Brady Hoke may overrule them because they're old? You do know that he hired them right? I'm not sure his thought process was "Hey, he knows his stuff, but if I don't like what this senile old fool is doing I can just overrule him! He won't be able to fight back because he's old! Brilliant!".

Yeah, because there's an over abundance of 30 year old head coaches in the NCAA...could be worse we could have JoPa as our coach (insert "coommmmmeee taaaa Pennnn Staaaaaaattte" here)

It is a bit weird.  Usually college coaching follows the Weekend at Bernies/ JoePa model with two younger coordinators propping up the head coach, but I don't think their age will hurt recruiting.  In fact, nothing appeals to recruits more than a little werther's original.
