If These Walls Could Talk by Jon Falk
I know the book was mentioned in the past but I would love to hear other peoples reaction to reading the book. I just finished reading the "Bo" section of the book that includes Bo's coaching tenures at Miami (OH) and at U-M. Although I found the book to not be the best written in terms of grammar, I have heard by far the best stories that have to do with the University of Michigan. I truly feel like I know all sides of Bo. The book lets you look at him as a player, a friend, a co-worker, and a fan. I reccommend this book to everyone who loves college football as much as I do, and I hope you all get a chance to read and learn about two M Legends, Jon Falk and Bo Schembechler

If you never read, how can you tell a good book from a bad one?

Christmas gift that has yet to be read. I'd best get out of this thread as I'm sure the spoilers are about to fly.

I got this book for Christmas from my grandmother and it is amazing so far. Only have had time to read one chapter (stupid college) but still is just great.

I am halfway through it and I agree. Grammer isn't great and some of the stories seem odd, but the insight into the program is amazing.
Also if you haven't read Michael Rosenberg's book "War as they knew it", go get it now. I know it's Rosenberg however the insight into the ten year war is phenominal.

Falk's book was great. If you want a book filled with great stories about Michigan but is HORRENDOUSLY written, go pick up Don Canham's book "From the Inside." I'm pretty sure whoever edited that book was a middle school dropout.

I finished it yesterday. It has been my throne room book since the middle of January. I enjoyed it as well.
I would love his rolodex.

I have been reading Bo's book written with Mitch Albom, great read (surprising I have never gotten around to reading it, as I am a avid reader) I have been marking passages in the book that really seem to speak about the state of the program right now.
If any of you own it I would suggest a second read at these trying times in our fandom.

LOVE that book. That book, the Michigan Football Vault and Natural Enemies (Michigan vs ND) are my favorite three I have.

It was really interesting and also easy reading. I finished it on the plane ride from Detroit to Phoenix.

I got "If these walls could talk" and "Bo's Lasting Lessons" for christmas. I finished Falk's book pretty quickly. It's an easy read, but got a little tiresome the way it was written and the rah rah quotes that are in almost every chapter. It's certainly worth any of it's short comings though for the inside view it gives. I've only read about 10 pages of "Bo's Lasting Lessons", but it seems to be pretty good too. I've enjoyed the weaving in of old Bo stories written in first person.
