Wait a second, are you suggesting that the thousands of Scrennames here that support Rodriguez are owned by none other than Rodriguez himself? And that this blog is, in fact, a figment of RRod's imagination? Far out, dude.
know a comment like that was possible. I could be wrong, but you might have just ripped a hole in the space time continuum.
will cease to follow sports or read the internet or go outside. If this is general reaction, no one will be left to participate in this blog.
Board up your homes.
Wherever Comrade RichRod ends up.
Posted in wrong place.
The Capitalist Harbaugh will advance the cause of Marxist-Leninist football without being aware of it.
I own this little domain named MGoHarbaugh and am currently in negotiations with Brian to sell him the rights. Don't tell anybody, becuase David Bradon told me not to say anything.
Would you happen to be a waiter at some unknown location serving unknown VVIPs?
Everything will be ok
A lot of people will simply support whomever the coach is. The one noticeable change will be a huge decrease in criticism of Harbaugh.
I think I have a hard time believeing that. A lot of people are diehard Rodriguez supporters, and a lot of people aren't happy with how Harbaugh has conducted himself in the past.
Harbaugh would be subject to the standard coaching criticism (like over playcalling and such), but it's a safe bet that if he's hired, the personal attacks on him will disappear.
You use "sophisticated" style but, in the end, still spread the same polarizing message. Its disappointing, actually. But I'm sure you don't care what I think.
I think he was saying that Rich Rod-supporters are better than RR-bashers who favor Harbaugh-Like-Yesterday. ...
Oh, wait, that is polarizing.
Sure, until the first disappointing loss to a hated rival. Then, as everywhere else, fans will start venting, and plenty will blame JH's playcalling, or sideline demeanor, or his DC, or any of the other one million things that fans blame when their favorite team loses. Human nature being what it is, the most fervent and disappointed supporters of RR will be particularly quick to criticize, which will be unfortunate and irritating but should be expected.
Should Harbaugh come in, he will have a honeymoon that RR never had, though, in large measure because he will represent a direct line back to Schembechler. Most importantly, he will also not go 3-9 in his first season and will field a half-decent defense.
I assume that if RR does leave the blog will support the next coach. And when the next coach doesn't win the National Championship next year and people begin demanding that he gets fired, it will continue to be a sane place on the internet to discuss Michigan Football.
Support the next coach. But I WILL NOT support DB if he fires RR. RichRod signed on for 6 years, not 3. He deserves every one of them. He's our coach and I will always support him no matter where he ends up. I've never felt this excited about a Michigan offense, and he has def built it up to where it's at and he's not done yet. All in for RichRod!!
So how will you not support DB? Boycott games? Send him indignant emails?
Probably by calling him names on the internet. Maybe throw together a few funny pictures of him on MS Paint. That sort of thing.
If they let him run around the country recruiting even though JH was a done deal, busting his ass trying to get better, pouring his heart out in public only to get lit up, and DB waits until Jan 2 for JH, leaving no chance for he and his coaches to find other work, I may be out. Who give's a rat's ass if old Walt is out, I know, but that shit ain't right.
you're killing it today with your posts, just wanted to let you know
He's not a mod anymore, so quit sucking up. You won't get a one million point pos-bang out of it.
Dr. Jennings aka The Dark OverLord of the universe says it all! See .30.
1. Brian will probably still keep writing it. (I hope)
2. Unprecedented and ridiculous meltdown on the boards. I will probably peace out for a week or so if a change is made. Shit will hit the fan, it will be total chaos and completely ridiculous.
As for me personally, I want RR to stay.
But if he gets booted, I'll support Harbaugh and the team (and pray to dear lord baby Jesus that he gets a spread offense guy to be O-coordinator. I seriously do not want to go back to boring pro-style I-form stuff), and I'll also adopt wherever RR ends up as my second favorite college football team and probably start cheering for/following them in addition to Michigan. (If he came to Duke I'd shit my pants with excitement.)
I'm a Michigan fan first, but, through all of this have also become a huge Rich Rodriguez fan.
Mike DeBord was terrible; plenty of teams run ace/i-sets and are entertaining (see: Alabama), and Shotgun and Pistol are seeing plenty of use even among "pro"-style offenses
I have never had a second team (in college sports that is) but if RR is fired, I will quickly become a fan, or at least follower of whichever team he ultimately coaches.
more muppets, less otters. thats what
What about a compromise, Muppet Otters?
Remember, his father was a snake oil salesman. You can look it up.
We are actually discussing Michigan football on this blog? I thought everything was a metaphor and that words were code for other words......for example the word "football" actually means "boobs." and "blog" also means "boobs".....etc. I am not sure what the word "boobs is actually code for.
Life goes on. Don't get sucked into the faux-drama and speculation - there's NOTHING we can affect. Let it play out, stay rational.
You're a Michigan fan now, you'll be a Michigan fan in 30 days, whether RR's here or not.
Some of you people amaze me. There's a concept called perspective. I urge you to keep it.
And maybe less analysis of how costly turnovers have been for our offense. At least I hope so, but who the hell knows.
Crickets chirping, backed up by dead silence!
Group cry-in at Skeeps and then intelligent and insightful analysis on the what type of team the new coach will put together and cautious optimism if warranted.
To answer your question directly, everyone reworks their graphs and changes the titles on their cat pictures.
We all disappear into Bolivian.
Veterans of the Haloscan era will roll their eyes and take a week off.
If RR gets fired this blog will attract all of the MLive Harbaugh slappies. RR supporters will be reminding the Jim Harbaugh lovers who left the program with all of that talent that he is winning with! He may be losing Luck at Stanford but he will have plenty of luck coming into this loaded QB situation at Michigan. No matter who the coach is next year, I think everyone should have some high expectations. Let's not forget the RR fans like me that would come back and create RR posts when he goes on to win a national championship at another university. All kidding aside, this is all pointless because RR will be coming back so don't worry about it.
