If fired RR goes to Florida???

Submitted by ToughD on

Why not?  With all the crap that he's been through.  No coach should have to go through what RR has gone through at Michigan.  I'll guarantee you that if RR would go to Florida they would beat the crap out of everybody.  He would be able to recruit just about anybody he needs for a spread offense there.  If he does get fired and goes to Florida I'll laugh because Michigan will have made the biggest worst coaching job decision ever.

This week has been so nice with everyone getting distracted by the Gator Bowl and not talking about our coach's job...

...why did it have to end?

Sir what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.  At no point in your rambling incoherent post was there anything close to being considered a rational thought.  Everyone on this board is now dumber for having listened to it.  I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

The real question, though, is why did you create this thread? You just got to the trusted level. Why do people keep making bad choices when they get the power to create threads? I just don't understand. Don't throw yourself into it with what you later find out is a ridiculous post. Hang out for a while, get a feel for the board, and only then post something you think the board needs.

I guess that's what it all comes down to: why would the board need this thread? I can't imagine any answers to that question that would seem reasonable. Granted, of course, that that's just me.

I have zero knowledge on Florida and their coaching search, but I can almost guarantee Dan Mullen gets the job. If not, it will be Charlie Strong.

I spoke to a former Florida football player, who has ties to the Florida Athletic Department,  this afternoon.  His comment:  "Speaking for myself, I want no part of Rodriguez and I think I can safely say that virtually everyone in the athletic department feels the same way."   If that's the case, it doesn't speak well for Rodriguez' reputation nationally right now.  By the way, he said, that they're all in for Mullen.

I have been probably one of the loudest critic of those that come onto these threads - which are clearly aboput the CC topic - and post nasty comments, stupid pictures, cartoons, cats or boobs (ok, I like the boobs, but who doesn't).

But on this post, and the other stupid posts that simply say, "hey, Florida needs a coach.  Meyer is unemployed.  DUDE!! OMG!!  EITHER MICHIGAN WILL GET MEYER OR RR WILL GO TO FLORIDA":  please bring Bolivia to these people.  I get wanting to talk about a big decision relating to our program but this - this amounts to morons sharing their brain farts.  Please make it stop.

This is a call to profitgoblue to bring back his ACT or to at least come up with a new one about threads like this.

I've been hammering away behind the scenes like you advocated so passionately.  You asked and you received and now you want my services again?  I'm not a rag doll to be tossed around and then picked up when you need some love!

Is there functionally that would allow the board to auto-delete posts through a certain number of negs?

That additional level of self policing could help clean things up.

come on now.  You can't call yourself a fan, if you make a thread like this.  Wow first Miami speculation then this.  How about "hey RR is our coach and is staying that way"! So sick of these threads, guess im one of the few ones HAPPY that Michigan is back in a bowl.  I think we should make a change. You can't make threads unless your at 500 or 1000 mgopoints, after the bowl and the DB decision then let these fake fans make their threads!

If anything can break Brandon's - wait until the season's over stance the coaching musical chairs that is about to begin just might do it.  Miami and Florida as the head line schools with openings - betting that Dan Mullen (Miss State) gets a nice raise offer right about ..... now!

This was my favorite part:

If he does get fired and goes to Florida I'll laugh because Michigan will have made the biggest worst coaching job decision ever.

That's one hell of a sentence you just put together, kid.

I'm not sure if it was debunked, but didn't Michigan's OC visit Florida? This was originally thought to be an interview for the OC position/Rodriguez helping out his people with soft landings, but perhaps it was something else.

Thank you for the stupid ass post.

I wouldn't be shocked if RR bolted for Florida, given the opportunity. He was dissatisfied with the powers that be in WV, so he ditched them. Why not here?

However, to completely absolve him from blame is retarded.

Hiring/recruiting/overseeing a completely dissolved Defense, falls entirely on his shoulders. Injuries or not.

I am so tired of people painting him as the victim.

...there is 0 chance he gets the Florida job.  Zero.

There are so many people off the Florida coaching tree, many of them would be excellent candidates.
