If fired RR goes to Florida???

Submitted by ToughD on

Why not?  With all the crap that he's been through.  No coach should have to go through what RR has gone through at Michigan.  I'll guarantee you that if RR would go to Florida they would beat the crap out of everybody.  He would be able to recruit just about anybody he needs for a spread offense there.  If he does get fired and goes to Florida I'll laugh because Michigan will have made the biggest worst coaching job decision ever.

With all the BS he has had to endure in his three years here would you blame him.  We have an extremely young team with almost everyone coming back, went 7-5 despite injuries, transfers, and an early entrant to the NFL destroying our secondary, our best defender spent more than half the season hobbling around on bad ankles due to chop blocks, and our AD wants to wait until after the bowl game to evaluate despite having some very significant recruits who are interested in us and want to enroll early.

Wouldn't it be funny if RR bolted and Denard followed along with others, our pipeline into Florida burst, and we ended up with a nobody coach who had a month to recruit.

I love that there is a thread about Meyer resigning to come to Michigan and one about RR heading to Florida.  The bowls can't start soon enough.

Wasn't meant as a shot at you, Brew.  I know you were just the messenger (and an unhappy one at that, given the suicide picure).  Honestly, I find the whole thing more amusing than anything else.  I've always enjoy watching the chaos and speculation that an announcement like this brings.  I just sort of want to start talking about football again.

It could be argued that Florida is a better job than UofM if Florida and if Coach Rodriguez is offered, many would justify his taking the job.  Since FL knows their coach is in his last game they have nothing to lose by finding and announcing their new hire ASAP.  Brandon is running out of time to wait unless he is absolutely certain what he is going to do with the coaching decision.  With the changing landscape, Rich Rodriguez now has more chips to play at the table.
