I want Clemson to beat OSU

Submitted by MGlobules on

I want Clemson to kick OSU's ass. I love DeShaun Watson, and I think Clemson is a fine, if erratic team. Meanwhile, I have no sympathy or respect for OSU left. Don't give a crap about the B1G winning, though I would in almost any other case. Alabama is one of the best professional college teams ever assembled, and is going to win it all in any case. So let's all root for OSU to be annihilated by Clemson. Who agrees with me?

If, and that is a big if, OSU gets past Clemson, they absolutely get pummeled by Bama. Not only is their defense just as good or better than Michigan's, which OSU struggled to move the ball against, but Bama also has a better running game.

It is pretty cute that Buckeye fans still think that a win two years ago guarantees that they would have beat Bama last year, and will this year.

"they're going to destroy team X!" or "there is NO way they're going to get destroyed!" comments as if the outcomes of games are certain and aren't random variables with just about every scenario possible.  There is certainly a chance of a blowout in either direction - a smaller chance the larger the margin - with probability density heaviest around a narrow OSU win.

A bunch of young, talented players led by Meyer. Expect Clemson to fold but we'll get our laughs when they face Alabama (i hope). I remember everyone in the world thought they were overrated a few years ago and they blasted through Bama and Oregon. Their recruiting is crazy enough - They win another underdog title it's going to get out of hand.

OSU can play with Clemson. Cant see them beating Bama. Bama defense is good enough to hold them and if they have somewhat of a running game, they are fine. Plenty of teams moved the ball on the bucs defense. Hell, Saquaon Barkley with Bama's o-line would destroy them. They are not superior against good rushing attacks. Damnit we needed Drake Johnson in the fourth quarter this year.

I don't give a crap about the conference period. Outside of the big ten ACC challenge (mostly cause it's meaningless and my brother in law went to UNC so we have a good banter during it), I want every big ten team to lose every damn week.

Yea I should rephrase. I agree. Rivals I want to actively lose always, the rest I just really care so little about. I have family who went to other schools so I care more about their successes than a random big ten west team. The idea that conference strength matters to me isn't a big deal since it's usually based off the opinions of few who usually promote an agenda benefitting themselves. Bottom line, if Michigan wins every game it will never matter how the conference as a whole does.

I don't think conference strength matters now that it's bowl season, but unfortunately we have to root for the whole B1G during the non-conference. Those games at the beginning set the narrative for the rest of the season. No way in hell everyone is talking about how good the B1G is this season if Michigan loses to Colorado, OSU loses to Oklahoma, and Wisconsin loses to LSU.

I used to want, MSU=Lose to all, OSU=win them all but one. But after Tressel's being carried off as a hero and the current win at any cost any way they can. I hate them.... Fuck respect, they are the same as MSU to me.

Im just sad I cannot be ther to treat them like us when the come up every odd year. Spit on them, fuck up ther cars, swear at thier children. Sorry for the rant.
