He was at the Under Armour combine down in St. Pete on Jan 4th.  He measured in at 6' 2.75" and clocked the fastest 40 time of the day at 4.44.  These were laser timed 40's too, which makes it even more impressive.  Word is that Campbell wants to play DE eventually and be like Clowney.

You can see some of him in these videos:

6'5 with 198lbs and 4.4 speed according to rivals.

Good lord, not sure if his level of competition is not that great, or he just makes people look bad.

Seems like a hard steal to get from Florida, but this kid is a real 6'5 speedster would be a great add.

Looks like a talented kid, but I'm not going to start thinking about him until fall 2014 at the earliest. Too much can happen between now and then for me to get excited now.

For top recruits, coaches are having to offer earlier and earlier to get in the kid's good graces early on.  Nice to see Michigan offering this kid early, but the odds of them pulling what will likely be the top 2015 recruit in the state of Florida out of the state is pretty damn slim.

Well, he has two years of high school ball left, so he has plenty of times to get better and fine tune his technique. It's too early to say that he's not doing this or that correctly because he still has plenty of time to develop and become a better player. Athletically, he looks like a guy that can be an unbelievable asset on either side of the ball. It'll be interesting to see how he develops both from a technique perspective as well as a physique perspetive.

Somebody should  make a section for instructions on things like blockquoting or embedding, and other things that might be useful, in someone's words, "tips for pretty posts".

There could be a permanent addition to the site including instructions for the following:

  • Embedding YouTube
  • Embedding photos
  • Uploading photos to somewhere then embedding them
  • Creating tables (Seth'sTableizer trick)

"playmaker". A 6'5" soph just running past kids, catching deep balls and aggressively tracking down QBs. How about we make East Lake a new feeder school with Artavis and Mason for 2014 and the George in 2015?

Wow. I'll believe his 40 times. He looks like he has untapped speed out there. His legs are probably better than his qb's arm. Pretty strange seeing him play WR/WDE but I love it.

Reminds me of early Randy Moss. Too fast to keep up with, toss it far and high, and let him get it. Yeah, I could definitely see him as an end too. Very interested to see how he develops the next two years.

He appears to be really coordinator for his height and age. I assume he is going to fill out more and given his toughness to play defense, I'm thinking he will be a future tight end.

My sister is a cheerleader for east lake high school, so I've gone to watch current 2014 offers artavis Scott and mason cole.. I've always noticed George Campbell and wondered when he was going to get a offer.. The kid is always making plays.. And he is every bit of 6"2.. I talked to him briefly after one of the games and he stands eye to eye with me and I'm right at 6"3..

that QB as well, what is his name? Class? I was going to say this kid is good, but then as I was going to look for faults I noticed that he is cathing everything in stride just a couple he had to reach for and no I am not the QB's father. They both seem to me very legit.
