I ran into LaVall Jordan at the airport in TC...he was going to see a recruit...not sure who it was...

I was back in Michigan briefly Thursday night and caught sight of a sharply dressed man in high end (not commercially available) Mich attire in the Cherry Capital Airport.  I chatted him up and found it to be one of Beilein's assistant coaches on a recruiting trip. I looked it up and this was LaVall Jordan - I didn't deign to ask his name to his face.

However I did ask who he was recruiting out of Traverse but he said he couldn't say.  We chatted briefly about the BB team.  He was very respectful of Oakland; well spoken and well acquitted.  LaVall Jordan is sharp and makes a great first impression.

I looked up recruits in and around TC but couldn't figure it.   Dwaun Anderson is committed to MSU.  Whoever it was played Thursday night past...now that narrows it down /s.

FYI board material.

PS - It was great to be back in Michigan - where people talk Mich sports everywhere you go.

Anybody that follows state recruiting needs to check out Drake Harris of Grand Rapids Christian.    Freshman.    This kid is going to be fantastic.   Already the best player on a pretty good team with some other (small) college caliber players.

from SB, and the kid from Charlevoix, supposedly.  Anderson committed verballly to MSU, but with the year they are having and the speculation about Izzo and their team there may be some room there (together with how tough Michigan looks.

Andy Katz comments on Michigan BB
16. Michigan has now won at Clemson and blown out Oakland, just days after the Golden Grizzlies won at Tennessee. Those wins aren’t going to move the meter much, but it does suggest the Wolverines will be highly competitive in the Big Ten and not an easy out. So does last month’s narrow loss to Syracuse.

I've played basketball with Sean since he was in 7th grade. My younger brother is a senior at St. Francis and whenever I get home I play pick-up at the local college (northwestern michigan college). Sean seems like the prototypical Belien recruit, legit 6'8", great attitude and can shoot decently from outside. His brother plays football at Hillsdale but was a great basketball player as well. His dad is a great guy and tries to run with us, I would love to see him at Michigan in two years.
