I was listening Rothstein on WTKA this morning and I had to turn it off as he was describing his 3 qb triple lateral end around reverse pass play and his frustration at not seeing Denard and Tate on the field more together last season.
Playing offense takes execution and repetitions to get the timing down, even if I take a leap of faith and say Rothsteins Playstation package would have worked last year, where would we have time to practice all these plays?? Who's blocking when I have my top 3 qb's on the field at once??
I love on the 1 hand you have 1 newspaper getting them investigated for practicing too much and you have the other one saying they need to show more imagination and put 2 true freshmen in the backfield together to implement the Playstation package that I really can't recall anyone in the entire country doing.
These kids are not pros, they have a limited amount of time to prepare in a week. I don't know if Rothstein ever played a down of football in his life, but it sure didn't sound like it. Then to think he's actually crafting peoples opinions with this garbage is scary.
I'm not saying you have to play football to report on it, but do some research before you just make up some crazy ass bullshit and criticize the coach, when I've seen no other coach do it.
