I know you all hate Valenti a lot, but...

...remember to tune into 97.1 tomorrow for sweet, sweet Schadenfreude. It will be particularly enjoyable since Terry predicted (not sure if he was joking or not, but he is a CMU alumnus) a CMU victory.

I'm interested to see how Valenti will spin the loss to CMU and M's win over Notre Dame.

There are times where he can be level headed, but he usually goes off the deep end with terrible MSU losses.

I've only heard him (and Spartan nation for that matter) go against Dantonio once, and that was letting winston play. I would be surprised if he doesnt come out and say it was a terrible loss, but Dantonio is still the best man for the job.

I actually like Mike Valenti. As much as he has an MSU biased, the guy knows his stuff pretty darn well (not perfect). I expect him to just unload on this MSU loss. That was just the typical MSU loss. The thing I think is funny is Valenti saying "MSU has the best secondary they have had in years", and they got torched by CMU. It makes me wonder what Tate will do to them. He will probably speak very favorably about Tate and Michigan and say they looked darn good.

Valenti has said a lot of good things about Michigan. Prior to the 2007 season, he said that Michigan was going to play for the national championship coming off the 11-2 year and returning almost all the starters on offense. He has also said that Rich Rodriguez will win a championship at Michigan on numerous occasions. He has a little bit of Sparty biased, but I think he is pretty fair in the long run.

I don't have a problem with Valenti. Yes, he is a State homer, and can act like a jerk at times, but generally is entertaining. From the limited time (3 weeks) that I have listened to him, he seems like he tries to be fair.

i can't believe the amount of people that actually like mike valenti. i listen on and off, because the only other sports talk at that time is national shows, which i can't stand. but, man, when he gets on his rants, i just can't listen. the guy acts like a complete clown, screaming his head off or whining like a baby. he's got no composure and terry foster never has the backbone to call him out on it.

Yea Valenti is pretty damn annoying. There's an MSU nut hugger on ESPN 96.1 in Grand Rapids so I'll tune in to them at 3pm. Might give Valenti/Foster a 10 min listen if I have some free time.

I heard, late in the season last year, saying on the air that "Michigan fans dream of Dantonio when making love to their wives"?

I can't wait to listen to him meltdown, then. This guy can't control his emotions worth a damn.

Sparty has two tough games coming up - at ND and at Wisconsin before UM goes to East Lansing. I think they're going to drop at least one of those, more opportunities for Valenti meltdowns.

Speaking of guys who fall over in a weak breeze, there is Mike Stone. That said, their show was FAR superior to the 97.1 alternative. Now that DFN has brought back local talent, why aren't Steney and Wojo back in their afternoon slot? I believe they are still paying them.

They probably don't want to go back to the station. After being unceremoniously blown out of the station I doubt they are going to set bad feelings aside and just go back to work. I mean, they are going to make the same money sitting at home so...
