I am WD

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Probably stupid to make a thread for this but this isn't the first time I've said that to myself before making a thread so here it goes:

For those thinking I was having some celebration because the email was proven to be real, that's not the case.

I have no reason to celebrate anything. All I did was hit the buried treasure chest with a shovel. Brian and Ace are the ones who dug it up and opened it.

I'm no hero but I appreciate the kind words that I've read on here and from those on twitter--especially after last week. I felt I needed to come on here and tell people why I haven't been posting since the Jon06 FOIA turned up nothing.

I was pretty ashamed of myself that I was supposedly fooled. I put my neck on the line and was absolutely certain it was real. I wasn't going to post for a very long time on here, if ever again. I was going to stay solely as a reader and would up/downvote like I did on Friday/Saturday nights for Hockey. I was even wrestling with myself all day at work about coming back on here, even if after I read everything.

I'm back as a poster, but I won't be the same as I was before I took that break. I even said last week that life was finally catching up with me in terms of class and my job. But I'm glad that I can continue to give updates and keep people informed about the Michigan teams that don't get much coverage. Along with uniform updates that I know EVERYONE loves.

Anyways. Keep being you, guys. It's pretty cool.

1. The original post contain a fuzzy photograph of Mr. Brandon, his email message "to me", then the unprofessional response. The email posted by Mr. Cook does not contain the photograph. Was the photograph part of the original email or photoshopped?

2. My reading of the email was that it was sent on November 16, 2013 at 7:45 pm. On this date Michigan played at Northwestern starting at 3:30. Michigan won in triple overtime. How do you suppose that Mr. Brandon was able to travel from Evanston to his office to send an response email from a office computer pathway just seconds after the game ended or while the game was still being played? Or, was Mr. Brandon watching the game from his office?

Welcome back to regular posting!

It really did feel like something was missing without the coverage of less discussed teams and even - dare I say - the fashions of our teams whether slick or "meh" or even...well...we know what happens when it goes there.

I wish I had your passion about Michigan.

Don't let people on the internet, that you don't know, stop you from posting on here. I like the updates on the things you posted, sports and gear wise.

Holy hell this blog is over dramatic. Do most people here really take all this shit so seriously? I don't know what I laughed harder at... People getting mad that WD didn't spend hours researching his source before making a post on a BLOG...or him getting dramatic over nameless people acting like they know what they are talking bout and calling him out.

Am I the only one who thought it was a bit jarring that he signed it Mike? Did everyone know he had a real name but me? That seems way too normal for WD. I just assumed his friends called him WD.

You seem like a good kid, and I admire your passion for Michigan, especially for the lesser followed sports--my heart breaks for you that we aren't even a shadow of what we used to be when I was your age 13 years ago in football and hockey (for the most part).

Keep on rocking and repping M how YOU want to do it--who gives a fuck if it pisses some people off!
