Hurricane Earl effect on UCONN
So the University of Connecticut football team is set to fly out to Michigan on Friday. I am set to fly out Saturday morning....Only problem is, Hurricane Earl is set to hit New England on Friday/Saturday morning.
We can only hope that UCONN can fly out to MI, as well as myself.

We can only hope that they take a 16 hour bus ride and arrive at game time.

If they think that the weather will be a problem, they will probably just leave a day or two early. I doubt they would miss the game because of it

They are leaving Friday, according to my inside sources at UCONN.
The band is making the 16 hour drive, Friday morning.

Tornado Denard is set to hit Ann Arbor @ 3:36 pm Saturday...
September 1st, 2010 at 12:49 PM ^
But what if we win the coin toss and defer?
THEN TORNADO DENARD STILL HITS ANN ARBOR @ 3:36 PM, AMIRITE???

U-R-RITE!!!
P.S. Hurricane Earl blows; UCONN sucks...

of him as more along the lines of a Lightning Bolt.
September 1st, 2010 at 3:22 PM ^
He's a lightning bolt when he runs at you. When he runs around you, he's more of a tornado.

and skip a day of practice!

They should be men, grab some canteens, and hump it double time, lugging their gear.

I am at hatteras island in the OBX and they are evacuating us. Have to cut a week long vacation in half. Tear.

..but love the OBX. I go to Emerald Isle a lot

They might as well just stay home. No one likes traveling a long distance to lose by 30. They'll save themselves time and prevent injuries and humiliation.

Tell that to non-BCS-aq teams. Of course at least they get paid.

It's called sarcasm.

we pretty much have to pipe in The Scorpions- Rock You Like a Hurricane.

CT gets protected from hurricanes by Long Island. Also, they should be flying out of Hartford which is pretty far in-land. So if they do miss their flight then this is gonna be one hell of a hurricane

I will lose my mind, seriously, straight jacket material.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:00 PM ^
Its gonna blow.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:01 PM ^
I'd rather get hit by hurricane Earl than hurricane Mike Martin.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:11 PM ^
Hurricane Earl is the least of their concerns.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:12 PM ^
Just wanted to point that out.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:12 PM ^
probably won't hit New England until late in the day Friday, meaning that they'll be in Ann Arbor by then. At least that better be the case, as I'm flying from the East Coast Friday morning.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:14 PM ^
the game forecast is for lots of wind, which i think plays to our advantage b/c they will rely more on the pass than we will if denard starts.
September 1st, 2010 at 1:46 PM ^
I live in Southern CT (NY area) and am driving out Friday. Expecting just rain, maybe a little wind. Hartford should get even less. The storm is forecast to be mainly off-shore, for now.

I'm sure there are plenty of facilities in Ohio that would be happy to help out anyone who is preparing to play Michigan. They may have a lot of problems Saturday, but it won't be because they didn't have a place to stay or practice.

Hurricane Earl is sending UConn a warning that they shouldn't even make the trip because it's pointless when they get blown out of the stadium!!
