Hurricane Earl effect on UCONN

Submitted by silverslugger on

So the University of Connecticut football team is set to fly out to Michigan on Friday. I am set to fly out Saturday morning....Only problem is, Hurricane Earl is set to hit New England on Friday/Saturday morning.

We can only hope that UCONN can fly out to MI, as well as myself.

They might as well just stay home. No one likes traveling a long distance to lose by 30. They'll save themselves time and prevent injuries and humiliation.

CT gets protected from hurricanes by Long Island.  Also, they should be flying out of Hartford which is pretty far in-land.  So if they do miss their flight then this is gonna be one hell of a hurricane

probably won't hit New England until late in the day Friday, meaning that they'll be in Ann Arbor by then.  At least that better be the case, as I'm flying from the East Coast Friday morning.

the game forecast is for lots of wind, which i think plays to our advantage b/c they will rely more on the pass than we will if denard starts.

I live in Southern CT (NY area) and am driving out Friday.  Expecting just rain, maybe a little wind.  Hartford should get even less.  The storm is forecast to be mainly off-shore, for now.

I'm sure there are plenty of facilities in Ohio that would be happy to help out anyone who is preparing to play Michigan.  They may have a lot of problems Saturday, but it won't be because they didn't have a place to stay or practice.
