HTTV: Status

Submitted by NYC Fan on

With the month of July coming to a close soon, i wanted to get a pulse to see who else has not received their HTTV?

I live in Chicago, regular backer just ordering the book.

I've never really had any issues with our mail service which makes the 2-3 week delivery time that Seth emailed yesterday seem crazy. The books started going out the week of the 4th and a week later alll orders had been sent.  Anyone else looking to go to a store and just pick up a copy instead?

Yeah I thought about dropping everything and spending my entire July on the road away from my family hand-delivering all the books. But then I thought how would the readers know about Wisconsin linebackers then?

If it helps we didn't start draftageddon until I'd done everything on my end for mailing the stuff out, and never do. My biggest job there was to get everyone's addresses then I had to go through them and fix things like misspellings and wrong zip codes and whatnot, while trying to track down stragglers who didn't get us their addresses and emailing those with mistakes to clear them up. That was back in June. The printer of the books then used my list to print the labels, put them on envelopes, put the books in envelopes, and take them in batches to a mail house. That all happened 2-3 weeks ago.

I can keep calling USPS and getting the same answers but short of intercepting the mail and hand-delivering everything I don't know what else I can do.

I'm thinking maybe in the future we give readers the option to pick up at locations on a certain date and I just then have to do a day each in Ann Arbor, Chicago, Detroit and do book-signings. But getting away when I have an infant and a 3-year-old at home and my wife has a full-time job and a boondoggle of a licensing exam ain't easy.

Im in Philly and ordered the shirt/book package and have yet to receive mine. I know the email yesterday said not to panic yet, but I am beinging to think the seminal event of my summer may not happen!

I live in Chicago also and got the book 2 weeks ago about. I keep it by my coffee table as decor and easy reading for guests since I read the digital copy like 3 times.

Weird you haven't gotten it yet and I did cause I ordered it like the day before the deadline with no additional donation.

Nashville here...still no HTTV. Wasn't there supposed to be some sort of sponsored speedy shipping?

Hmmm...there's mention of first class mail in prior posts and now the cheap media mail in this post...curiouser and curiouser...

I haven't gotten mine in Virginia either. I'm assuming that since I ordered the ten pack it didn't get bumped up to fast shipping.

No need to panic, I'm in Florida and haven't received it. But I also didn't receive last year's til around this time either, late July-ish. As Seth said in his email give it time and if it hasn't come by Aug then let him know.

Bitching about Draftageddon and bitching because HTTV hasn't come yet. This just means football is approaching fast.

Now that they've re-framed it as top returning B1G players, I'm having a lot easier time with it this year. Totally a mental thing, but at this point I'm enjoying it much more than in years past. Wonder if others feel the same way...

I was backer #37 and I still do not have my magazine.  I have backed HTTV at the $250 level since its inception.  I am leaving for a monthlong vacation on Friday.  I am in full panic mode.

I live in Chicago and got mine in the middle of last week.

Per Seth's Kickstarter note yesterday, I was an early backer (#53) with my address/info in pretty much immediately upon request so nothing that would have caused a delay vs others just getting the book.

Maybe if you signed up a little later you might have been delayed a few of days? I'd expect you'll get it in the next couple of days.

I live 20 minutes from Ann Arbor and it has historically been all over the place even at this distance. Typically, it arrives rather quickly, depending on which postman is working my route that day. I did get mine already, but that's probably because it wasn't the guy who takes the two hour lunch at the Subway in front of the street and then naps in the truck.

I was talking to my parents last week and their mailman was in a pretty bad accident, hospital stay and all.  Turns out this is the 3rd time in his career that he has been seriously injured while being rear ended delivering mail.

Your mailman is hopefully taking his naps in the parking lot and not on the street.

The pattern seems to be, in this post and the last (as my memory serves), that the coasts and south got theirs first, and the Midwest are getting theirs last, if they have yet.

So, I blame the Playoff Committee, and/or Rivals (who prioritize those areas as well).
