HTTV, Again

Submitted by blueak on

I'm not one to beat a dead horse, but where the hell is my issue??? Has anyone out there received it? Hell, I use to live in Alaska and got my issue quicker than this. Expected better mail delivery once I moved to Florida. I've read about the problems with getting out this year's edition, but c'mon!

Figure Brian might be bringing them to the Alumni thing tonight to hand deliver it.  Too bad I forgot to tell him I can't be there this year.

I did receive the specimen kit for a medical research project I volunteered for.  [Didn't fit in my mailbox, so I hope my neighbors didn't panic seeing "Human Specimen" written in such big letters on the box sitting casually in the lobby.]

Mine came on Saturday morning and I live about a 20-minute trek down I-94 to the foot of Michigan Stadium, so there's definitely no rhyme or reason, even within various postal zones. However, I believe the last batch went out just over a week ago, so if at least domestically, folks don't get them within the next day or two, that truly would be strange.

Be sure you've sent your address to Seth. He apparently still has 30 or 40 people who haven't responded to the (numerous) emails asking for addresses.

So, if you used that random old Hotmail or Earthlink or AOL account to sign up, go check that email account.

I lived in Florida several years . . . everything is slower there. Did you ever get caught behind a LIncoln Continental going 5 - 10 below the speed limit, on the way to the 4pm dinner special? Just sayin.

Arrived on Saturday. Good luck.

I know the guys are really trying - hopefully the delivery system / timing will improve next year.

Haven't gotten mine yet, but I agree. Part of being a small operation is that when a horrible tragedy befell Seth, there isn't the personnel to cover for it. Then again, part of being a small operation means that if we all gather to bitch about it, Seth (and other mgostaff) are here to respond and try to make things right.

In the meantime, I'm happy to read my HTTV via the PDF version I got along with my Kickstarter contribution.

and received two for some reason (one signed by Brian "Hail Nuss!").  I'm happy to hand one off at App St. game if one of you doesn't receive your copy by then.

Stop downvoting him; we should have had these to you a month ago and he has every right to be pissed about it.

Blueak: I'll email you to see if we can try to track down your book order. If you filled in the form and everything you should have it by now.

UPDATE: The email address associated with your mgoblog account seems to be dead now. Can you email me then? seth@ [this site]. I need to know who you are so I can track down the order.

within the next hour I'll be home and will know then if I received HTTV today or if I might need to also email you.  I already have checked my email box, including spam, and am pretty sure I haven't received the email BiSB mentioned up-thread.

In the meantime, though, I prefer to remain optimistic that today will soon feel like Christmas morning...
