Grand Blanc doubled up White Lake Lakeland 42-21. 2011 QB Ryan Morley had 5 TD passes. 2 of which went to Northwestern 2010 commitment receiver Tony Jones. Morley's 2011 classmate Justice Hayes added a fourth quarter touchdown on a 38 yard run. --------------------------- 2012 Detroit King running back Dennis Norfleet had what may have been his huge breakout game against Muskegon today. The sophomore had two running touchdowns (of 7 and 69 yards)and also added a 92 yard kick-off return for a touchdown. Norfleet is a stud basketball player as well for the class of 2012. Muskegon scored 20 points to King's 0 in the fourth quarter catapulting them to a 40-21 comeback victory. -------------------------- Southeastern beat Osborn 40-0. Apparently MSU commitment Will Gholston was very impressive in their win as was Southeastern QB Edward Thomas -------------------- Montague took down Orchard View 52-21. CMU commitment QB Cody Kater was simply dominant, with 3 TDs through the air and another 2 on the ground. ------------------- Hudsonville had a pretty epic comeback victory tonight. They were down 19-0 going into the fourth quarter against Lake Orion and came back to win 29-25. Lake Orion was driving for the win until they fumbled after a completed pass in the last few minutes. ---------------------------- Livonia Stevenson lost to crosstown rival Franklin HS by a count of 21-7. Haven't heard anything on statistics, but it sounded like Stevenson was pretty ineffective offensively. More as it becomes available.

jury still out on Bolden as a HS player though. I have heard reports from the game saying he was good but his OL was overwhelmed often and other reports that he just wasn't good. That pick he threw that EGR returned to the goalline was a killer.

Sterling Heights Stevenson QB Jason Fracassa had 5 TD passes propelling Stevenson past Warren Cousino 42-6. ------------------------ In a Big Day Prep Showdown match-up, Warren Fitzgerald defeated Madison Heights Lamphere on the strength of their running game, with Fitzgerald's Edwin Limmitt rushing for 110 yards and 2 TDs. Fitzgerald won 21-20 in overtime. Fitzgerald QB Larry Masters had a rough game, but was still good. He was sacked seven times, but still finished 10-for-18 with 180 yards passing and a touchdown.

Goodrich defeats richmond 30 something to zero. I went back to watch this year because I hate those god damned martians so much. Stole the wrestling state title last year by recruiting a kid we kicked off the team, for committing a felony. Fucking classy school. Goodrich is the martians btw...we are the blue devils, and we are less good than I thought we would be. It was awful, our o-line was about as explosive as a pile of wet newspapers...

Although the stats are impressive, I'm sad to see him in a time-share. I was hoping the lack of carries meant only that he was pulled after the team got out to such a big lead. However, his primary competition scored in the first quarter and Hopkins scored once toward the end of the game, suggesting that both backs alternated throughout the game.

A random team to watch out for this year - Muskegon Heights. The Heights is NOT a traditional football power, but Willie Snead took over this year after leading Holland Christian to a state title last year. They beat defending division 5 champ Muskegon Oakridge in the opener and Oakridge is a VERY well coached team. O-K Red went 8-0 in openers. Big non-conference games this week: Inkster v. East Kentwood, Hudsonville v. Detroit Catholic Central, Holt v. Rockford
