How much talent do our main rivals lose

Submitted by BlueDMD on
How much talent do our primary rivals lose next year? I know MSU loses Cook. What about their lines? Looks like OSU is gonna lose Elliott and Barrett. Any other key players? Just trying to size up what we'll be up against next year.

Yes, and I'm going to keep saying it until people stop being jerks to OPs when things are double posted and the OP likely has no reasonable way of knowing that without sitting on this site 24/7. Stuff gets double posted. It happens. There are mods to deal with that. We don't need people being jerks for no reason (particularly when the OP lacks the basic ability to determine what they are being criticized for). I'm willing to bet the majority of readers of this blog are now on mobile, while the majority (if not almost all) of these responses are from people on a browser who have never used the app. How about we just be a nicer place?

We could also be a more self-sufficient place.  One way to do that would be for OPs to find the answer to their own damn questions.  It can be done in a few easy steps:

1. Go to official website of Michigan State.

2. Find roster.

3. Find which players are seniors.

But that's hard and requires a couple minutes of effort, I guess.

I do agree with you on that, but you have to acknowledge that the diaries get way less traffic. Just on a personal level I can say that when I'm on the web I almost always browse them (on my way down to the board posts), but almost never open that page on mobile. In this case I think it's more forgivable to miss a front page diary than it is to miss a front page board post.

Let me get this straight, Beeks.  You've gone from excusing them because they're probably on the app and the information isn't availble on the app to now excusing them because no one probably looks at the information that's on the app.

That's really a valid excuse for creating posts on the board asking questions that already have answers available on the app?  Because no one looks at the diary on the app?

I just said I checked my app and there were over 35 posts still visible on the board.  There were more posts visible on the MGoApp board than there were on the browser's board.

Why excuse people for being lazy?  If they're not checking into the board very often, then maybe shouldn't be posting content on the board.

They can easily insert those questions into an already existing thread that is relevant to the topic in which they're interested.

loses quite a bit but not sure it matters. They will continue to win improbably and clone massive agile defensive lineman until God decides we have been punished sufficiently for a harmless little brother comment made 9 years ago.

WHOOSH, I think.

While I'm here ...

I'd be surprised if Sparty sank below the 8/9 wins per season level while Dantonio is around. I don't see them consistently beating UMich anymore, but unless their recruiting and development model suddenly fails them, I think they'll be fine.

Aside from the one win per year, what they've done is (save for a few local recruits) largely independent of Michigan's struggles. Don't think so? Make a list of key contributors the last few years who chose MSU over UMich. It's not very long.

Really? We won this year. We had them beat despite those clowns (refs) tried to steer the game. The last play was idiotic, but it does not take away the fact that we had them beat. If we had the Rudock we have now, that game would not have been close.

Looking at what Jim did with Rudock, I don't think this is going to be close. You think OSU is going to let this go. I don't care how much Dantonio develops, M and OSU is going to dominate again. We all knew this was MSU's best shot. If they don't win a championship year, they are going to hurt to do this in the future. PSU is going to be out of sanctions and it is not going to be easy year-in year-out winning against 4 and 5 stars with 3 stars and a few 4 stars, unless the coaches are derps.

All this has done is made B1G more about 4 or 5 teams rather than just 2 teams. Which is fine by me. I like a little competition. Game on and MSU won't be the last one standing.

the ND comeuppance several years ago was at the hands of bama in the NC game.  That could happen again to sparty and how fitting that the sparty faithful want to take it to the next level.  Be careful what you wish for dantonio and co, as pride cometh before the fall.   Dont care about the EL knuckleheads, if M beats bucky this will be an incredible year, one to savor and remember.  Onward and upward!
