This is a repeat from last year, but I am sure we have some new members here at mgoblog, or maybe you just didn't catch the posting last year. One of the things I love about watching Michigan football is listening to Frank and Brandy call the game. Obviously they will never equal Ufer, but they are wonderful in their own homer way. The problem is that for away games the video feed is behind the radio feed so you cant use a DVR or Tivo to line them up properly. This was a bummer to me, as the choices were to watch the game with the radio looking 2-3 seconds in the future of the video or listening to the ABC, or even worse NBC announcers. Some company actually makes a radio type tivo product and I was right on the edge of ordering it, when I noticed something wonderful. The official radio feed pumped through the official Michigan site at [http://www.mgoblue.com/allaccess/] is available so you can listen to the game on the net. This feed is significantly behind the video feed, usually 10-20 seconds behind, thus you can now use a DVR to line up the audio from the internet with the video from TV...You just use a laptop or some other computer hook up to broadcast the game while you watch it on TV. It takes a few plays to line things up properly, and sometimes you have to readjust things after half time, but it works really well. The only negative I get is that I am now 10-20 seconds behind the live blog, so if I am watching that during the game, I am constantly getting a mini preview and my comments are always a little behind everyone else's...Other than that though, it works like a champ and its great to hear the Homer radio with the National video...
Hope this helps someone this year.
