How interested was Tebow in Michigan?
With all of this stuff about the NCAA 13 game, where you have heisman players at any school. It made me search up some winners and look at their recruitments to see how realistic it would have been with them coming to Michigan.
I looked up Tim Tebow's rivals page as a class of 2006er, and it had Michigan in his top-5 teams of interest along with alabama, USC, Florida, LSU.
As recent as 2010 I started to really get into recruiting and wasn't too closely following it back in 2006. So my question is, does anybody know if Tim Tebow was really interested in coming to Michigan? Did he take official visits? Woud love to know, thanks.
Psshhh already posted bro. Only like 983 pages back. /s
I hate it when people post a topic that was in the last 1000 pages. Some people are just lazy.
Well we were top 5, but not in the final group. So like, Su'a Cravens interested.
you sir put it in terms I can understand. Here is a imaginary +1 to you kind sir.
I'm sorry sir, but I have to give you -1 for excessive use of "sir."
but not in the way that you might think
According to Tebow's biography, he was impressed with Michigan's tradition and that's why he scheduled Michigan as one of his five official visits. However it was really Alabama and Florida all the way. (interesting tidbit, on a visit to Notre Dame he thought the weather was too cold and immediately eliminated them from contention)
it was always Bama or Florida for tebow. And off the top of my head, he wouldn't have been comfortable in Michigan's pro style offense.
Case in point: Tebow still can't master a pro style offense in his 3rd year in the NFL.
when it comes to being among the top 5 schools for five-star recruits who eventually sign with some other program.
If Tebow had come to Michigan, he probably would have turned into a hippie pothead like the rest of Ann Arbor.
Anybody else immediately imagine Tebow as the History Channel "aliens" guy after reading that comment?
I live in Ann Arbor and I'm not a hippie pothead. Me and the other 5 non-hippie, non-potheads here resent your comment.
So there are 6 remaining in the wild....interesting!

Interested enough that the Google search 'tim tebow shirtless' directed somebody to MGoBlog, making him the first ever OMGShirtless-level recruit.
...but I can't imagine what kind of career you have if Tacopants and YMRMFSFPA are parts of your daily lexicon...
OMG shirtless? Not judging
I was very interested... still am, of course.
God bless,
Tim Tebro
After he found out Michugan doesnt have a "circle of trust",he didnt want anything to do with us.
He took an official visit to Michigan - he sat a few rows in front of me at the game - and we were in his top 5, but I got the feeling that Michigan was never really in his top 2 or 3.
at least Pryor showed up and pretended to be interested in us by blatantly being not interested in us at all.
