How does Grady's eligibility work?

I know Grady came in with Manny Harris and played two years on the BBall team.  Then the past two seasons he has played football for RR.  I assumed he had used up his eligibility but he apparently still has a year?  How does this work b/c I do not recal any injuries?  Wasn't he practicing with the BBall team last year too?  Just wanted some clarification on Grady's story.

Also, what is with Craig Roh's jersey in the spring practice videos.  He is clearly wearing a different white addidas jersey than anyone else.  What you can see of it, it looks similar to the last Nike road jerseys we wore.  Are they the tight fitting jerseys the team turned down wearing last year or are they looking to go a new direction with the road jersey's this year.  I hope it is the latter b/c I am not a fan of the maize stripe under the arm.  I prefer simple and classic looks.  Go Blue!!

Grady is using the 5 years to play 4 rule.  I don't know the official term, but you have 5 years to use up 4 years of eligibilty in each sport.  Hypothetically, DeShawn Sims could have played football this year even though he had exhausted all 4 of his years of Bball eligibility, assuming he was still enrolled in school and not playing pro bball.  It is how Greg Paulus was able to  play football for 1 year after 4 years of hoops at Duke.

I put up a tough front, but deep down I just want to be held.

Actually, didn't Sims redshirt his freshman year?  If so, I think that would mean he could not have played another sport this year, since this would be his 6th year in college.

I don't actually know if he redshirted, he was just the first basketball player to graduate that I could think of.  I knew Merritt and Lee were definitely 5th years.

I noticed Roh's jersey too -- those are definitely the new tight fit Adidas style as they have the patch Adidas logo on the collar.  I wouldn't read into it as I doubt the coaches would let him wear a game jersey in spring practice.  It may be just a practice jersey.

The adidas stuff is too fluff.

It needs to be simple and the adidas logo has to be less evident and not takeaway from the block 'M" and the three bars along the sides are really obnoxious.

Simple and classic=Tradition

No, they don't. My guess based on what other teams have done is that there are more than just style changes to the jersies, and they're currently serving the dual purpose of giving the returning starters a reward and using them to compare the performance of the jersies (i.e. too tight in spots, easier to hold or harder, whatever).
