How do you handle losing?
It sucks when Michigan loses. I feel it all week. But I think it takes character and strength to pick yourself up, whether you're a fan/alum or a player, and move on. So next week is Illinois, another team of dorks. Who's with me? Let's drink, watch more football today, and look forward to next week's game. I like our team, and I like Brady Hoke. Not sure yet about Uncle Festus. I do think Denard can pass the ball for what it's worth.

Today I went to a pumpkin smashing event, and joined in the kids, utilizing as my weapons an earth turning trident, a baseball bat and my favorite, a heavy pick ax - all the time being told "geez, I'm keeping away from you! You look hella pissed off!"

I turn off the game before the very end. My husband continues to watch in the other room. If we win, he yells in and lets me know, then I can watch it when they replay the last play. If we lose, I wasn't watching, so it's sort of like it never happened. I move on more quickly this way.

I work nights, I stayed up today to watch that mess and I was too pissed off to go back asleep and I'm on 45min. rest.
I scan a few UM boards, hope like hell the hockey team calms me a bit and wish the next game was tomorrow.
I turned 40 this year so that means I'm a man now and I still feel like crap for a few days after a loss and I have little to no interest in football the rest of the week. I may or may not even look at my fantasy team will Wed or so.
If Michigan won today I would be on no sleep and not feel it one bit till the morning when I crash. I'd be happy all night.

The years have gone by and losses don't ruin the weekend like they did last year even...
I owe it to Coach Hoke...he seems to be a stand up guy!

SAD PANDA! I drunk myself numb tonight! I guess I will shake out of it through the week. My wish of Hoke finishing his first season like Bo has been dashed and we will not win the B1G or go to a BCS game. We'll probably go to the Alamo Bowl and play Texas Tech! Boo Hoo!
If Hoke can beat OSU, it will make my year and then we should have a parade in A^2 for Hoke!

I agree...ending every practice the chant is "Beat OHIO"...That is still the ultimate mission this year. We are Bowl eligible but the "game" is still the most important...we are not stock piling confeiti though.
