Hi - I sent a note to my local alumni club. they do a newsletter email every couple weeks or so to promote events we all might be interested in.  I thought maybe they'd consider including your project.  Good luck!

Along the lines of what DowntownLBJ is offering to do, there are alumni clubs around the country.  You could draft an email with links to your project and ask the club leaders to forward your email to the rest of their members.  Here's a link that provides contact info. for each group:

That should connect you to some of the alumni.

Well I tried reaching out and emailing all the different alumni association. However, I received an email from one of our alumni saying that my emails were consider spam and soliciting and she told me once the documentary is done I can purchase advertising.

That sounds quite harsh.  Calling your email spam seems over the top. There probably are "rules" against soliciting that I was unaware of (it does make sense--if every alumni who had some kind of deal to promote sent out emails to all alumni, it would be a mess), but I'll bet some of the group leaders will forward your email just the same, so despite that one response, it probably still will reach some eyes.

Maybe even knock on a few doors and see if some AA businesses might be interested in supporting your video in exchange for listing them in the credits.  Good luck!

Vincent (or Brandin),

Are you guys members of the Letterwinners club? If so, that would be a good place to post on the facebook page.  About 700 letterwinners are there.

If you are not a member (you should become one), but in the meantime, if you email me or post here exactly what you want posted, I'll do it for you.

Another option is Linked In. Not sure if you guys are familiar with the site, but it is a way to build "professional" connections with people (kind of like Facebook for jobs and career). Any way, in Linked In there are groups that you can join and one of them is for U of M Alumni. I joined and get daily e-mails from the group. The daily e-mails have links to people looking from employment, people looking to hire, and other discussions and threads. Your project would be a great thread.

Good luck and Go Blue!

the Michigan Rivals, Scout, and 247 sites about it.  It also sounds like something that some of the more prominent UM folk on Twitter could help publicize.

Contact the alumni club in the Ann Arbor, they may be able to put it into the national newsletter they send to all members (maybe just local officers?).
