How college basketball stars (including Robinson) can improve (Paywalled Article)

Submitted by tigers17fan on

Among others, Robinson is listed as one star that can improve his game. The major points are that he needs to work on using and reading screens since for the most part, he was a garbage man last year (crashing the boards and getting open for easy looks after Burke's drive). Also, it is mentioned that despte poor shooting from the 3-point line, Robinson has a shooting stroke that can develop into one of the Big Ten's best (making him one of the best players) thanks to Beilin being able to teach shooting like few other coaches.

This seems to be dead on to me, personally. I'd love to see Robinson take a bigger role in the offense and work on improving his shooting game.

needs to be a volume shooter to really dominate in the college game.  I think he is a lot like his dad.  The Big Dog was a gifted player but I have never seen a college offense so designed around one player who was really free to fire at will, almost without any apprehension of taking bad shots or shooting too much.  I don't know if The 3rd has the same kind of mentality or if would be able to operate like that in this offense.  I think he will be a very good player next year, but he is not going to be a 20 a game guy.
