How can you listen to the game on your phone?

Submitted by 2 Walter Smith on

Does anyone know a website or preferably an app that allows you to listen to the game on your phone.  I don't have an iphone, but I do have a smart phone.  I have the dreaded fall wedding to attend.  Any help is appreciated.  Go Blue!

These kinds of threads are getting a little tiresome.  Of the seven newest threads on the board, we have:

  • one guy who wants help figuring out how to listen to a game on his phone
  • one guy who wants help finding a cheap place to stay in South Bend
  • one guy who wants advice on a bet
  • one guy who wants to know what's going on with a traffic jam he's dealing with
  • one guy who's complaining about what's going on with his cable TV

This is starting to crowd out worthwhile threads on a football Saturday.  For some reason, these threads don't bother me when they're created by regular posters who contribute a lot around here and are reaching out to a familiar community for help.  For the most part, that doesn't seem to be what's going on.

No offense, but there really isn't anything that's threadworthy on a regular football Saturday.

We already have our open thread of the noon games and some random info for people going to the game. We have no info on the Oosterbaan so there's no point in speculating about that  (which has been already done anyway).

Between now and 3:30, what else do you want on here? More rehashing of what our strategy should be for today's game? No. Everyone's sick of those posts. I don't mind a couple of posts asking for help, especially when there's not that much going on. Everyone was new here at some point, you can't expect them to go searching when someone can easily give them an answer in 2 seconds

2 Walter Smith - Download the iheartradio app to your phone and look for WOOD radio station from Grand Rapids.  In years past, I've been able to listen to Michigan games here.  Good Luck.

You'll get Brandstatter and Beckman for color.  Much better than the networks, but is not synched with the tv.

You can listen live on the WTKA website but IIRC their mobile app is flakey.

Chances are you won't get it on your phone. For some lame ass reason, you can get local programming on your phone, but as soon as a live game comes on, they don't stream.

Thank you.  A good rule of thumb is to post topics to entertain others, not to find out information that a seven minute search on google could tell you.  This is Saturday fergodsakes.  Let's keep it football related.

Thank you OMG Shirtless.  I went there already

Sorry for cluttering your screen Turd.

WWJ 950 is listed as the radio broadcaster, but I tune into WWJ Newsradio 950 and all I get is news.  I figured they would have a pregame broadcast.  Maybe it's too early.

I did laugh at the "hold it to your ear" comment.  Lighten up everyone.  If you don't like the post, then don't click on it.

Red Ripe Media makes an app for Android and iOS called College Football Radio.  Works great on my ipad.  Has a bunch of Michigan Football station affiliates you can choose for the feed.  Bonus: If you live out of state some of the stations can be listened to anytime (not just game time), like WJR

Just yesterday I downloaded an iPhone app called TuneIn Radio, to listen to a high school football game. You just enter a city name/zip code and get plenty of stations. Works great.
