How are you going to fill the gaping void in your life now that Searchbits are ending?

I don't know what I'm gonna do, guys. I had really grown to love them. I'll be savoring these last ones, that's for sure.

Hopefully this blog. I've stayed away for the most part these past couple weeks. I just couldn't get into this friggin' coaching search. I guess I'm happy Harbaugh is supposedly coming home but this process is unattractive to me. I love sports but this type of shit doesn't compare to the actual games and makes me realize the important stuff in life. So, again, hopefully I can come back and read real stuff again.

*I know others were contributing real-life stuff, and I was happy for that

*Also, I in no way blame this place for doing what it has been doing. I just personally can't "get into it".

*I realize I'm likely in the minority on this.

You could go read the comments on Raider's sites: http://www.silverandblackpride.com/2014/12/27/7456335/confirmed-report-jim-harbaugh-to-michigan-no-longer-option-for-oakland-raiders-head-coach

The comments are so thick with depression, denial, and the bitter realization that no one wants to coach their team. It is pretty damn funny. The best may be all the guys trying to act like they never wanted Harbaugh anyway.

I will be taking lessons in Pretending Not To Gloat When Talking To Certain Obnoxious Relatives.

Lesson 1. Repeat this phrase until you are comfortable with it:

"Yes, I think with Harbaugh we stand a very good chance of rebuilding our football program."

Lesson 2. Repeat this phrase in the same way, until it rolls comfortably off the tongue:

"Harbaugh is a good coach, but your school has a good coach, too. It will be a lot of fun seeing our teams battle it out next year. I'm hoping for an exciting footbal game."

this next month before signing day, could be one of the most epic recruiting month any college has ever seen.  we may flip the #1 recruit josh rosen, top ten recruit and fellow cali boy iman marshall may follow.  chris clark will recommit.  then, who knows... there are only 6 or 7 spots left, to come play football for JMFH.

bring it on...

Basically hoping for HAPPENINGBITS posts to become the next routine thing...when are they getting here, where are they living, who has seen them shopping for khakis, what did they say, how did they act to be in AA, coaching stuff, recruiting stuff, planning for spring game tailgate/etc stuff. You know, the usz psycho details.

Everyone should settle down --- images of Jim Harbaugh as a king on a throne are a bit much. I hope Jim accepts Michigan's offer and becomes the new head coach. But I do not expect that as he arrives in AA he will walk across the Huron River and immediately redeem M's football program from thralldom. Jim's a football coach; he'll do a good job, I'm sure, but even he will need a few seasons of strong recruiting and year-over-year improvement to restore M football to its former glory.

That will not be an easy task. Although the cupboard will not be as bare as the one RichRod left for Brady, the problems are immediate and serious, beginning with shoring up an attack that was 13th in the conference in total offense. And according to Rivals, M now has six committed recruits. Jim might be able to improve that situation, but especially at this late date convincing the uncommitted and flippling the committed will be tough.

Anyone who expects instant miracles is doomed to disappointment. Long-term patience and support are what Jim will need most. Go Blue.

Pumping the breaks on a playoff run to the NC is fine. Shoring up this small 2015 class, and making significant improvements on O and in the win column do not qualify as miracles. Those believing he will immediately move the needle are reasonably backed by JH's history.

I am trusting that Brian and company are going to give us some great info on what we cannot expect from JH and we will have the Hello posts from recruits and new coaches. I'm not worried. Go Blue!
