for Carmen over coffee.Stay in the stadium for halftime ~900 of my closest musician friends and I will present one great performance--- not to be missed! The NY Phil brass and UMS Choral Union will be amplified through speakers on the field so everyone can hear it , not just the west side. Sounded great last night. ( don't want to slight the Alumni band , they were great also.)
October 10th, 2015 at 7:54 AM ^
Awesome can't wait!
October 10th, 2015 at 7:55 AM ^
Play hard and loud and make a lot of noise when the cats have the ball!
October 10th, 2015 at 8:09 AM ^
I've been wondering about what this show would be like since I heard about the addition of the NY Philharmonic's brass section - from this description, it sounds like it will be rather awesome.
If possible, when Fitz or a coordinator tries to dial in a play, if now and again someone could break into random Bach cantatas too or something along those lines, that might an interesting way to add to home field advantage.
October 10th, 2015 at 8:40 AM ^
Carl Grapentine posted on Facebook last night a short clip of the band practicing this. It was great. Should be an outstanding show.
October 10th, 2015 at 8:37 AM ^
Wow great!! Looking forward to it!

I'm an alum that still lives in town who should be going... but my sciatica basically has me bed-ridden.
October 10th, 2015 at 7:56 AM ^
Gotta take care of yourself...just yell really loud from your bed when you see Northwestern on O!
October 10th, 2015 at 7:55 AM ^
unfortunately. But the MGoDaughter will.
Not much consolation, but I did just start the Pulled Pepper Stout Beef (from the MGoBBQ series) on the Weber kettle a few minutes ago. It's a 6 1/2 hour cook, so it should be ready by gametime. And my local beer store doesn't sell single bottles, so I'll have 5 stouts left over to sample.
October 10th, 2015 at 7:59 AM ^
Ok will swing by after the game to help you with those stouts :)
October 10th, 2015 at 8:16 AM ^
cheerfully save you a few stouts, Proud. But you're on your own with the BBQ beef. I'm not expecting leftovers!
October 10th, 2015 at 8:32 AM ^
in an extremely cool socata. what a nice plane and fast!
October 10th, 2015 at 8:44 AM ^
Would love to get some time in one of those. I've heard they are a lot of fun.
October 10th, 2015 at 7:56 AM ^
I'll be there. I'm glad NW is ranked ahead of us, I think that helped the team to not look forward to next week.
October 10th, 2015 at 7:58 AM ^
If I upvote you will my profile explode into a supernova?
October 10th, 2015 at 8:09 AM ^
Lol I think you will be okay
October 10th, 2015 at 8:02 AM ^
With friends (all alumni). Should be awesome.
October 10th, 2015 at 8:03 AM ^
I'lll be there. It'll be the wife's first trip to the Big House. Happened to find tickets on the MGoBlue.com website on Thursday.
October 10th, 2015 at 8:06 AM ^
Me, the wife, my Dad, and my best man's 10 year old daughter. She reportedly is skipping a bday party to attend and is very excited.
Go Blue!

October 10th, 2015 at 8:09 AM ^
and heading out shortly. Big time tailgate today. Grilled shrimp skewers and 8+ pounds of tri-tip and plenty of beer ( growlers from Royal Oak Brewery) to go along with. Then heading over to lose my voice high up in section 35 across the way in the Hole that Yost dug. Best seats in the house I'm telling ya. Can't wait! Yes, these are the kind of days you dream about sitting in your office on a dreary morning in the middle of February. Have a great day out there where ever you might happen to be Michigan fans! Go Blue!

BTN can be really lame . . . but it's also a blessing. This is the kind of game you would have trouble seeing a decade or so ago if you did not live in the Big Ten footprint.
I don't know how many times I turned to ESPN Game Plan pay-per-view at game time and . . . nothing. Just a banner telling you how to pay for the game you already paid for.
Then it was an hour on the phone with the cable company operator and then "tech support", each of who could barely spoke English. Nothing solved of course.
Then it was wandering around looking for a sports bar that might possibly have the game on a corner TV with no sound so that you could at least see the 4th quarter.
So Yay! BTN.
October 10th, 2015 at 8:12 AM ^
Me and about 110,000 of my friends.
October 10th, 2015 at 8:13 AM ^
We have a fundraiser today - awesome cause and great event in Delaware. I gave my tickets to my dad's neighbor to use. My dad's neighbor is Glen Steele's cousin and I think he will enjoy the game. Go Blue! Beat Northwestern!

Best day of the year in Ann Arbor.
October 10th, 2015 at 10:52 AM ^
This is the day you waited all year for.
October 10th, 2015 at 8:26 AM ^
No tickets but planning to go down and pick two up at kickoff from someone with extras who didn't know they would have extras until just before kickoff. Planning on paying $20 for a pair.
October 10th, 2015 at 2:07 PM ^
I've got an extra in section 33 in the 50s. I'd like more than $20, though!
October 10th, 2015 at 8:27 AM ^
This would've been my 6th game this year, but weather prevented me from flying in for the UNLV game. Go Blue! Can't wait to tour the Big House tomorrow!
October 10th, 2015 at 10:59 AM ^
And you're a weather man. The irony.
October 10th, 2015 at 8:29 AM ^
I just got to Ann Arbor. Definitely a brisk morning. I will be cheering on our guys from section 23 row 36. Go Blue!
October 10th, 2015 at 8:32 AM ^

Wish I was there for this one. The wife and I will be watching from Sedona, AZ. She searched all day yesterday for a place that carries BTN. Unbelievable, but found one on the last place she called after trying about 35 bars. Just glad I'm not watching on my phone. Go Blue!!

Rich Rod must have made all the bars cancel their BTN subscription.

Will be there, with two sons, daughter-in-law, brother, sister-in-law and niece. Fancy dinner after celebrating my 50th birthday.
