homecoming activities?

Submitted by sheepman on

Hey all,

I am coming to the game this weekend with my 8 year old son. I have the opportunity to come early and go to all the homecoming events. My question is:

What is there to do on the day before the game (particularly homecoming) that you enjoy? What will be good for a dad and son to do?

Thanks

There's an open rehearsal at Michigan Stadium on Friday evening.  They're prepping the halftime show, which this week features (in addition to the MMB) the brass section of the NY Philharmonic, the Choral Union, and the alumni band.

Even if the music doesn't appeal to you (or the rehearsal is just really boring), it may be a nice opportunity to enjoy some time in the stadium.

It has to be sharing recipes with Sara Mouton in the AAUM Member Lounge. If there's a better activity for a father and son to enjoy together, I don't know what it is.

Student Union will have an inflatable QB blitz inflatable, two airbrush face painters, and a photo booth for students as an alternative tailgate to deter drinking. I'm sure they would be open to allowing some of that for children. (Although I am not certain) 9 AM - 12 PM
