Hoke should be fired NOW for the way he handled Morris

Submitted by Mr. Yost on

I'm almost in tears with my stomach turned inside out. That was the most disgusting sequence I think I've ever seen. It was a coach who didn't have a CLUE and I pray to God Morris is okay.

He should be fired for wins and losses, yes. But he should be fired NOW for that sequence. I don't trust him with the well-being of the players. How can you look a parent in the eye after that?

That was gross.

The kid was hurt POSSESSIONS before he got drilled and almost fell over. THEN Gardner's helmet comes off and he puts Morris back in!? Call timeout, take a penalty, let someone else take a snap, run out there yourself and hope no one notices...but don't put the kid back in!

What the hell just happened? My God, that poor kid.

Football is a violent sport, I get that...injuries happen. But that was sickening.

i agree whole-heartedly that Shane should have been pulled and examined when he was wobbling around.  I'm just amazed that you're willing to defend Hoke as he sacrifices these young kids' careers and health on the altar of his incompentency. Funchess.  Shane.  Gardner.  Who knows how many more. These kids want to play, they're competitors, they have heart.  Of course they're not going to pull themselves out of the game unless they absolutely cannot get up or walk.  But Hoke, wins or losses, is supposed to be acting in loco parentis.

He's supposed to have these kid's best interests at heart.  He clearly did not in this sequence.

Didn't even get a trainer to the kid the first few times he he got hurt.  Hoke cannot even organize or control the sideline...How long do we have to listen or watch this total incompetence which now has spilled over to player safety.

If Brandon doesn't have the stones to pull the pin on Hoke, I beg he turns in his whistle tonight.

Morris is obviously not ready to play yet.  He should have been pulled midway thru the third qtr.  It seemed Hoke was trying to send a message to Gardner.

What the entire coach staff did with Morris when he took that hit and lost his balance and almost fell down, borders on the criminal.  Any self-respecting coach would pull the kid out of the game.  He can barely walk and may have suffered a concussion and NUssmeier, Hoke, no asst coach does a thing!!  WTF.  That is disgusting.  I didn't have much respect left for Hoke, but now I have none.  He should pack his bags and walk back to San Diego.

I hope someone asks him in the press conference about that situation.  He'll say something about having to see the game film and the press will let him off the hook, but that was pathetic.

Nussmeier is just as guilty in this.  The kid isn't ready, he gets hurt and limps off the field and they do nothing.  This and the ND coaching gaffes tells me, Hoke doesn't understand.  He doesn't know how to coach.

He has to go, there are no excuses left.  Brandon has to go after next week's less than 100k fans in the stands and then Hoke the day after the OSU game.

I think I'm going to vomit when I have to read through whatever bullshit pathetic excuse explanation he is going to come up with to answer press about it. Just thinking about the blah, blah, blah he is going to spew makes me want to fucking break something.

ABC announcer said something to the effect of 'Well, they didn't run any tests, so he must not have a concussion'.

Easily one of the worst things I've ever seen.

It is because he does not have freakin clue as to what to do or say, so why bother?  We just got slaughtered by a program that would drool over having half the talent that M (recruited anyway) has.  Michigan is looking a like a place that talent goes to die.  Fire Hoke now and do damage control with the recruits.  What's worse for recruiting, an uncertain coach situation or a f-ing 2-10 Michigan team?

I have a cousin who is a Georgia fan. He texted me about how bad it was.

At present, I am all for giving Hoke the Kiffin treatment. Make Brian Cook the interim. I don't even care.

Welp a good family friend had just shown up to visit and was watching the game with us..

His son played for NW a couple years ago when NW was actually good, and he was disgusted as a parent of a player and i don't think ive ever been that disgusted watching an injured player get left in before..

Shane couldn't even keep his eyes open..  So disgusting

A mid week firing is all that would solve this now..

All the shots of the sideline and all the players sitting on the bench uninterested in the game said everything u need to know about Hoke and is pathetic dogshit staff..

Our family friend mentioned seeing all the kids sitting on the bench says it all about the current state of the program as he has seen some awful teams in NW, and a lot of teams that just weren't interested anymore
