Why would anybody watch? You're not going to get any answers at all. It'll just be more generic fumbling and talking about Morris' ankle, toughness, execution, and coaching better. I've been tough on some of the press for being douches in their questions this season, but for once, at least, there deserves to be some tough questions that deserve honest answers. But none will come.

It's hard not to take extra notice of the M Health System backdrop today.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:36 PM ^
Either Hoke is six minutes late or this is a beautiful metaphorical statement.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:38 PM ^
You echoed my thoughts. Let's hope they are preparing for the resignation speech and he is just nervous to walk through those curtains!

I know we are all now hoping that he will come on and resign. but it's not going to happen. So let's not watch it and say we did...
September 29th, 2014 at 12:38 PM ^
Hoke needs to issue a sincere apology for the way he handled the Morris situation. And then resign.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:39 PM ^
Will begin with a statement saying he can't/won't talk about Shane Morris, then will evolve into a longwinded speech about how he thought the team's preparation was good, the leadership is good, and how their goals are still on the table.
Well... count: 24
September 29th, 2014 at 12:40 PM ^
Naive question for regular streamers of Monday pressers: Is this kind of delay normal?
September 29th, 2014 at 12:40 PM ^
The big rotating block M that just stands there and says nothing is probably conveying information more than Hoke willduring the actual presser.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:40 PM ^
So far this presser has about the same tempo as Nuss' offense
September 29th, 2014 at 12:43 PM ^
about the Ball State incident.
EDIT: Sounds terrible, stressed.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:43 PM ^
"It wasn't my decision to say whether Shane could play or not"
But you DID make the decision to not call a timeout so Devin could just stay in the game.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:45 PM ^
This is pathetic.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:44 PM ^
Stream of consciousness incoherence. He's skipped from practice to Devin's helmet coming off. No discussion whatsoever about the hit on Shane's head.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:45 PM ^
Wait, what? Hoke just tried to relay "his perspective" of what happened but I have no idea what he actually said.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:47 PM ^
Anyone else having audio issues with Michigan's website? I switched to Mlive's

"Weyullll you're in hypotheticals and we're not going to be in hypotheticals"
September 29th, 2014 at 12:47 PM ^
"Did you go through the protocol?"
"Like I said, you'll have a statement from our medical department."
Another question...
"Hindsight is easy. Again, you're being hypothetical and we're not going to be working in hypothetics?"
Angry and aggressive towards the press. Yelling.
September 29th, 2014 at 1:10 PM ^
Aggressive? Sure. Wouldn't you be?
Angry? Inconclusive, imo.
Yelling? Hell, no. Stop spinning.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:47 PM ^
Is he awkward.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:48 PM ^
defensive
September 29th, 2014 at 12:48 PM ^
Talking about hindsight... Hypotheticals... What about the 75,000 people in the stands who could see what was going on in real time who weren't 10 yards from Shane at the time?
September 29th, 2014 at 12:50 PM ^
because even though I liked RR's openness I always found him difficult to listen to in interviews.
But this guy is something. This is the man standing front and center for 'Leaders and Best' and he can barely make an intelligent sentence.
September 29th, 2014 at 1:25 PM ^
He's not even coherent.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:48 PM ^
He is ANGRY about these Shane questions. Nearly screaming now!
September 29th, 2014 at 1:34 PM ^
Hoke was rambling......and making up a few words along the way.....but he was never screaming. Maybe you just needed to turn the volume down?
September 29th, 2014 at 12:48 PM ^
Medical Department didn't prepare a statement.
Ridiculous.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:49 PM ^
on hindsight. Really? You watched the damn film, would you or wouldn't you take him out?
It's a simple damn question.

Yes, it was his decision whether Shane could play. He is responsible for the personnel that plays in games.
The doctors didn't keep Morris in the game after he staggered around punch drunk immediately after a big hit, and the doctors didn't put Morris back in the game three minutes of real time later.
Brady Hoke did. Why doesn't he just sack up and stop bullshitting?
September 29th, 2014 at 12:49 PM ^
Just fire him already. Why allow this to continue 7 more weeks? What could possibly be had to gain by doing that.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:50 PM ^
"You'll get it. Sometime you'll get it."
"Has he been diagnosised with a concussion""
"I don't know."
"Was it targetting?"
"Yes."
"How'd you know there was no head injury"
"Again.. I'll... their statement will speak for itself."
September 29th, 2014 at 12:50 PM ^
September 29th, 2014 at 12:50 PM ^
Brady always talks about players and coaches being accountable to one another. He is showing absolutely none of it. This is disgusting. I never want my team to lose... but man, maybe getting smoked @ Rutgers and getting whooped on National Television against PSU will make some heads roll..
September 29th, 2014 at 12:52 PM ^
Oh why hasn't it happened yet?
September 29th, 2014 at 12:59 PM ^
Oh why hasn't what happened yet? Getting rolled on television for the whole world to see? Clearly it has. My point is I feel as though this coaching staff and administration is on the wait and see approach.
I firmly believe that they think ever week is the "we'll show umm this time, week." Maybe we need a couple more poundings for it to truly settle in... This Is No Longer Michigan...
September 29th, 2014 at 12:51 PM ^
"When a kid goes like this to the trainer, that tells you something."
YOU IDIOT. It's NOT about what the KID feels. It's about what the MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL can tell you. A kid's going to play through anything. Concussion protocol is in place to stop that exact scenario from happening when he's got a concussion.
September 29th, 2014 at 1:26 PM ^
This is what I can't wrap my head around. Sounds like his concussion protocol is "The player must self report a concussion, otherwise we're keeping him in. Football is about toughness."
Props to Nick Baumgardner for asking that question, but needless to say, that was a pathetic response from Hoke.
September 29th, 2014 at 1:30 PM ^
He was talking about playing through an ankle injury, not a possible concussion.
September 29th, 2014 at 2:05 PM ^
And that is a huge part of the problem here.
September 29th, 2014 at 2:14 PM ^
that Morris was making his first start over a healthy Gardner and was struggling mightily in doing so and what do you think the chances are that he would willingly come out of the game? He doesn't want to give up the starting QB position. This is absolute lunacy.
Also, he said in the post game presser that the medical staff cleared him to play, but he didn't know if he had a concussion. Well how could they clear him to go back in without assessing him for a concussion? What sort of medical staff would look at that guy and not at least assess him for a concussion? The ineptitude of this program is almost comical if it wasn't so sad!!!
September 29th, 2014 at 12:51 PM ^
He's going down in flames.
Every answer is worse than the one before it. I'm sure the room is incredibly tense...certainly feels that way
September 29th, 2014 at 12:51 PM ^
September 29th, 2014 at 12:51 PM ^
More and more embarassing. I don't even know what to say about this anymore, but it's disgusting.
September 29th, 2014 at 12:51 PM ^
This is awkward....
"Shane stumbling on the field..."
Hoke: "SAY THAT AGAIN"
"Shane walking on the field..."
Why Shane was stumbling:
Hoke: "His ankle gave out... that's what he told me"
