He can reach the endzone on a kickoff!  And he can tackle to boot!  A major plus when you consider how pathetic our special teams has been.

Pretty sad, when that gets you excited as a fan.

Not to mention a 4.01 gpa.  Yep, he'll work out.

Keep in mind that high school kicks off from the 40 yard line as well.  Gotta move back 10 yards when he starts kicking in college.  Although hitting the uprights is quite encouraging.  Also, I'm pretty sure on one of the 40-something yarders he hit, he was using a tee.  That's one of the big problems transitioning to the college game that a player can have.

It's exciting to see Hoke is clearly hitting the trails with some force now. Hopefully we can make some major inroads on the West Coast recruiting again.

Was that UM's David Harris who intercepted Brady?  He needs to take off a few pounds, don't you think?  Braylon E. made a nice TD grab.  So it's good to see some of our boys taking key roles.  Did you guys think Brady was a little off his game?  I thought so!

getting a kicker from San Diego is a good idea. Is that someone that is going to kick well in the late November Midwestern weather? At this point in the recruiting process there probably isn't many other solutions of course. At any rate I suppose someone that can kick accurately for half the season would still be an improvement over this past year.

The real question is if he has balls.  We have a couple kickers who were great in HS on our team; it seems like the problem is mainly between the ears (and/or between the thighs).

Not only does this kid look really good kicking/punting, but it also looks like he had a strong supporting cast on special teams.  His coverage guys were getting to the ball very, very quickly and either downing it or making tackles.
