Hoke in home with Countess tonight.

Looks like the meeting went well.. Blake on twitter...

@BlakeCo1 "Those who stay will be champions"

For what its worth it is also being reported that Hoke visited Darian Cooper. I am expecting nothing else but a committment from him. What is stronger than snake oil?

..but in the interest of consolidation:

Hoke did indeed have an inhome with Cooper today. 3 things I got from the Scout article

1. We're not totally out of it

2. He might visit the 28th

3. The coaches (again) said we're running a 4-3

Looking at our list of 4* commits, I really don't think it's one of ours. Brennen's blue, Kellen's blue, Blake (who dropped to a 3* yesterday, only to return to 4* status today)'s blue, Hayes is blue, and Fisher's pretty much already decommitted. The implication was that this player was a 'surprise' of some sort.

'Fraid not. Lichtenfels is a Scout insider who does spot stuff with ESPN, so he's credible. It's nothing definitively dealing with Michigan, but I thought it was interesting and in the somewhat off-case it has to do with Michigan, I wanted my followers to know first.

Hoke needs to lock this kid up.  He would be a huge loss if he doesn't end up in this class.  I guess any loss at this point is a huge loss.  This class is quite barren at this point.  Go Blue Blake.

Not that I was expecting anything less, but it is good to hear a lot of the news these past couple of days and am encouraged by the progress.  The least that can be said is that the coach is putting in the hours and some and is clearly willing to do what needs to be done.

I really hope we land this kid beucase i think he could be really good.  But hopefully the guys from last year make some improvments so he doesnt have to play right away and just get tossed into the fray (that didnt work well last year).  Hopefully he can come into a d-fence with a little more depth and stability where he can learn and develope (and make his mistakes on the practice field) as so we dont suffer through them on saterdays.

I was geeked about Cullen last year, hoping he could come in and make an immediate impact.... However as we learned there is a little talent and speed difference between HS and college (i am still bullish on CC - just wish he and the other two Frosh CBs werent thrown to the wolves)

good news..looking at his highlight tape, it seems like he can develop into a lockdown corner type(d. warren) with good coaching. Great job by hoke retaining him and renewing interest frm darian cooper

I hope I am not the only one concerned about QB depth.  They may want to throw some offers up.  I see USC has two 4* QB's committed.  I am sure that will end well.  Ask Tater.

How about Timmy Jernigan? Did he officially eliminate us?

And how about Christian Heyward. The guy is uncommitted, has pretty solid rankings, is from San Diego and was offered by SDSU... makes me think that he HAD to be contacted by Hoke right?
