I thought this was a rumor you "heard" and came here to call shenanigans on an april fools joke.
It is April fools day huh?
WOW! I didn't realize we had some people in our fan base that stupid. Maybe GERG can help Mattison out on the Defense too. WTF
will not end well...
But this still will not end well
Awful thread topics must continue so we can keep seeing gifs like this. I can't turn away.
it is a shame that pos bangs are not in effect right now. You made me HALOL.
Damn, homey done knocked himself out cold, face first eating grass and dirt.
Answer: For all the reasons that lead you to "realize it will never happen."
Well Kyrie_Smith, I'm going to fire you on national television from your multi-million dollar CEO job as the country laughs because of it, and then after making jokes at your expense I want you to come back as a mid-level manager making 1/15 of what you did before, with almost no authority.
Or you could hold out for a CEO job at a smaller company.
A fucking lot.
Well shit; a compliment from the most intellectual Sparty I've ever "known".
I'm serious though, would anyone do this? Coming from someone who had a dream-world of RR and Shannon or someone as quasi co-coaches (obviously I never thought RR would accept that, or that it could ever be worked out), this is still just ridiculous to even contemplate.
ridiculous beyond contemplation, your post captured that immediate feeling of incredulity one might have in response. It read to me as follows: "I can't contemplate it because it's beyond contemplation, so I'll say the next most accessible thing, which is still not all that accessible, but will still at least express my feeling of incredulity. Fuck it - I can't even be mad at you."
Your post has a rival below (in my meaningless opinion). However, you ended up winning according to my gruesomely subjective and unaccountable criteria.
Yea I commented on your comment to that (hello: awkward sentence). It's basically just a common sense thing, and for whatever reason the OP didn't "get it".
Oh well; hopefully [s]he'll learn from this and make MGoBlog a better place in the future.
April Fool's Day will not save this from being the dumbest thread in the history of the site.
Take it to MLIVE, boy.
Not even a good joke...
If you wanted to stir the pot, you could have said, "RR hired at new Oklahoma OC, Clemson OC/HC", or something remotely believable. This one was as interesting as a charcoal snake.
brought back all of the childhood disappointment of the lamest of kiddie "fireworks."
I just talked to Rich Rod. He said he would be totally down with this idea.
Not with both Denard and Woolfolk hurt...
I feel like I've said this recently, but this is indeed the worst post ever on this site.
Wow, with all the competition?
I'm not sure if this was serious or an April Fool's joke.
Either way, it was terrible.
Yeah then how about we bring on Tressel as Director of Football Operations??
Its April Fools day and it opens the door for dumb pranks and kiddy "you got a spider on your shirt " kinda stuff..but its no excuse to just go around saying stupid shit
thinks this is a stupid post
I wish I had enough MGoPoints to negbang you into oblivion
Here, you can have one of mine. Please use it accordingly.
Kyrie, I am sorry it had to end this way....I do hope your stay was an excellent one. If you ever find your way out of deepest Bolivia, do feel free to make reservations in the future. The doorman will call a cab for you right after he sets your luggage ablaze and relieves himself on your shoes.....
If justingoblue's above was a 10, I'll give this a 9.5.
Don't ask me to explain such arbitrary quantification. It could be as "human, all too human" as that I happened to see his first.
It could also be that his stuff was a tad less intuitive. But this post is still quite good IMHE.
Seriously though, I definitely did +1 the post above.
Just asking out of curiosity, as an MSU fan did you agree with all the OSU signs about keeping RR or were you glad when he was fired? I feel like you might have a side of the story that hasn't been told.
But only once a long time ago.
Quick qualifier - I root for M all but one day of the year. I want to see a strong program in AA, which probably sets me apart from those you mention.
I think with more time RR would have turned the corner. For me, it came down to this: with an even decent defense, M would have become a scary team. The offense was so high powered (and would have only matured) that even mediocrity on the other side of the ball would have sufficed to win a lot of games. I think RR is too sharp to have allowed the defense to continue to be so atrocious. That's my two cents.
Am I happy he left? Eh - I don't know. I think Hoke brings a lot to the table.
From a strictly immediate (ideological) MSU perspective, what you want to see in your rival more than anything else is instability and unrest. So I guess if I'm answering from an ideological perspective, I'd say "yes; RR leaving = more instability/unrest."
But I don't think on that level. I have long ceased to embrace the "hate" element of the rivalry.
FWIW I wasn't trying to group you with the "85,000 truck drivers" Ufer made fun of.
Also, I basically agree with you. Getting into the nitpicking I think he was probably caught a little off-guard with how much Casteel did for him at WVU. I'm a little more on the skeptical side with Hoke; he can ride enthusiasm for the job up until the first game. I think we'll quickly find what he's made of against ND under the lights.
I'm also a little with you on the rivalry thing. I'm assuming I'm much younger than you are if you're talking about "long-ago" but in a philosophical sense I'd like MSU/OSU and ND to be strong 364 days a year. This doesn't always translate into daily wishes, but I think that's forgivable from time to time.
Only -27?
I will have to call it a day for mgoblog
Brilliant...great thread
do denard and RR talk at all? just wondering and this seemed like the thread to ask it
