He's right.  How many of our current players look like surefire NFL guys?  Do you think anyone will go on to be a Hall of Famer like Brady, Woodson and Hutchinson will?

We are not as talented as a typical Michigan team.  Our guys have great heart and perseverence, but in terms of raw talent, they're not that remarkable.

Did you really think Brady looked like a future HOFer during his time at Michigan?  I don't think anything is surefire in the draft.  I took the gist of Coherd's comment as an illustration of how Hoke did more with less this season and Judge Alex did less with more.  Did I just defend Cowherd?  I need a shower.

Unfortunately (and almost exclusively because of Rodriguez' recruiting) Colin was right if he said that.  Mike Martin will play in the nfl.  Hemmingway will play in the nfl.  Vanbergen will play in the nfl.  Molk might.  None will be the caliber we are used to seeing (likely).  More importantly, all of them were Carr recruits who stuck around.

You tell me who from Rodriguez' recruits is going to be nfl talent.  Unfortunately, many of them are simply too small to play a major factor in the nfl.  Odoms is too small.   Lewan -- maybe, maybe not, again due to size.   Kenny Demens has a shot.  Jibreel Black has a shot.  Obviously Denard at another position, and perhaps Fitz.   Maybe Stonum, if he get himself back on track.  If I recall, 1/2 of them were actaully Lloyd's iitial recruits, who stayed afer Rodriguez was hired.

There are some young kids, who will be drafted higher, depending on how they perform.  Blake Countess.  Frank Clark.  The incoming lineman who haven't played all have potential.

While I agree with 99% of your comment, I thought there was "future 1st rounder" clout around Lewan?

I also don't think size is the issue...he's listed at 6-8 302.  And I'm sure he could easily add more weight.  I know RichRod preferred his linemen to be lean and good athletes instead of human beings with their own gravitational pull.  In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he added to his frame this offseason.

Say what you will about the media...but their fondness for Hoke and the recent (albeit, quieter) portrayal of Urban and his dedication certainly can't hurt us when it comes to image and recruiting.

That being said, I suppose the likes of Saban, Petrino, Dantonio, and Kiffin haven't been media darlings, either...and it hasn't really hurt them.

Martin, Molk, VanBergen, Koger, Hemingway all should get drafted, not early, Molk I suppose could, but the other guys will great drafted. I feel whoever gets Hemingway will get a steal in the draft, wouldn't mind the Lions taking him in the 5th round to replace Burleson.
