Hoke on Dan Patrick Show with guest host Jason Whitlock Friday
Brady Hoke is scheduled to be on the Dan Patrick Show Friday sometime between 9am-noon with guest host Jason Whitlock. Should be an interesting interview given both their Ball State ties and Whitlock's professed mancrush on Hoke. One of the topics of the show is going to be the Penn State scandal, but I doubt Hoke will offer much on that.
Also of interest to Detroit natives, Isiah Thomas is also scheduled to be on tomorrow.
Jason Whitlock @WhitlockJason
Im hosting Dan Patrick radio show tmrw/Fri 9-noon. Guests will b Brady Hoke, Isiah Thomas, Shawn Ryan creator Shield/Last Resort & Big Deuce
Listen live here:
Im sure if Hoke looks at Thomas the wrong way, we'll get a 1000-word article on how football coaches are becoming incresingly racist.
Naw, Whitlock and Hoke are tight. It's been said before, but Whitlock was one of the first guys to come out in the pro-Hoke camp: http://msn.foxsports.com/collegefootball/story/brady-hoke-not-jim-harba…
You know Hoke and Isiah aren't going to be sitting together side-by-side in studio, right? It's a call-in radio show, not David Letterman.
that michigan is rewarding whitlock, given all the garbage he publishes, with an interview. it doesn't show character.
Exactly how is Michigan "rewarding" Whitlock? If you seriously expect that Brady Hoke is going to refuse to take part in a radio interview with a longtime personal and family friend who has been a relentless and open supporter of his simply because Whitlock says other dumb things, you're as dumb as Whitlock can be.
i seriously expect the athletic department to be able to find its ass when it comes to media relations. hoke shouldn't do interviews with media personalities or outlets that do nothing but race-bait all day. agreeing to go on the same day as isiah thomas, given what we all know whitlock is going to talk to thomas about, shows ignorance of what's going to happen or just plain bad judgment. hoke could have helped out his friend without tacit endorsement of the race-baiting by appearing on the same show, but the athletic department shouldn't have let him go on that day. if you don't understand that media relations people make decisions like that every day, i can't help you.
Whew that was a pretty intense ass kissin' by Whitlock. Hoke would have been much better served to follow your wacko advice and dis his friend.
I think most can differentiate between guests on at different times of the day. It wasn't a roundtable. If someone gets a exclusive interview with OJ, I doubt people believe you're endorsing wife killing by appearing earlier in the show. And most people get a coach is on there for 20 minutes of coach speak and nothing else, whether it's Whitlock, Cowherd, Patrick, or anyone else. You're reading way too much into this.
the analogy is not going on a show that is also interviewing oj simpson. the analogy is going on the bad person's show, where they will interview you and then invite their next guest on to say a bunch of ridiculous racist bullshit. maybe you guys missed the dream team article, or any of whitlock's other work--e.g., his column claiming that the psu administrators, because they are men, intrinsically understood and tolerated jerry sandusky's sexual impulses. but i didn't, and i don't know why the athletic department would be ok with helping whitlock's career. the guy is as bad as the freep morons.
tuning in...
As much as I love Hoke, the sound of Whitlock's voice always makes me want to punch something so I'll pass on the interview and just read the cliffs notes posted here.
I always just mute the TV when Whitlock comes on.....
A lot of vitriol for Whitlock is going to disappear once his praises for Hoke start flowing.
Speak for yourself. Whitlock is a slob on multiple levels.
Whitlock didn't make many "good decisions" at the Ann Arbor News, either, but all references to his departure there have been de-googleized.
I think Whitlock is a lot like Cowherd. People get all mad and call them stupid, but they know exactly what they are doing.
Whitlock repeatedly referring to the Ohio Buckeyes is hardly inconspicuos and awesome to hear on a national radio show.
" The Greatest coach in college football" good pump by Whitlock today. Ball State guy. Props
that most penis jokes are funny, but I'm immature. Everyone is too PC these days.
PCness... Hold on theres a joke here..
Penis jokes may or may not be funny. Racial penis jokes are always offensive and never funny.
maybe if they were at least clever jokes told by a comedian at a stand-up show, it might be funny. but it's never funny coming from a journalist, especially at the expense of a single individual.
I've never seen anyone object to someone joking a black guy's penis is enormous. It's more a size thing than a race thing. (Or more technically, a negative stereotype vs. a positive one).
Did I miss Hoke?
