Hoke on Dan Patrick Show with guest host Jason Whitlock Friday

Submitted by Leaders And Best on

Brady Hoke is scheduled to be on the Dan Patrick Show Friday sometime between 9am-noon with guest host Jason Whitlock.  Should be an interesting interview given both their Ball State ties and Whitlock's professed mancrush on Hoke. One of the topics of the show is going to be the Penn State scandal, but I doubt Hoke will offer much on that.

Also of interest to Detroit natives, Isiah Thomas is also scheduled to be on tomorrow.

Im sure if Hoke looks at Thomas the wrong way, we'll get a 1000-word article on how football coaches are becoming incresingly racist.

Exactly how is Michigan "rewarding" Whitlock? If you seriously expect that Brady Hoke is going to refuse to take part in a radio interview with a longtime personal and family friend who has been a relentless and open supporter of his simply because Whitlock says other dumb things, you're as dumb as Whitlock can be.

i seriously expect the athletic department to be able to find its ass when it comes to media relations. hoke shouldn't do interviews with media personalities or outlets that do nothing but race-bait all day. agreeing to go on the same day as isiah thomas, given what we all know whitlock is going to talk to thomas about, shows ignorance of what's going to happen or just plain bad judgment. hoke could have helped out his friend without tacit endorsement of the race-baiting by appearing on the same show, but the athletic department shouldn't have let him go on that day. if you don't understand that media relations people make decisions like that every day, i can't help you.

I think most can differentiate between guests on at different times of the day. It wasn't a roundtable. If someone gets a exclusive interview with OJ, I doubt people believe you're endorsing wife killing by appearing earlier in the show. And most people get a coach is on there for 20 minutes of coach speak and nothing else, whether it's Whitlock, Cowherd, Patrick, or anyone else.  You're reading way too much into this.

the analogy is not going on a show that is also interviewing oj simpson. the analogy is going on the bad person's show, where they will interview you and then invite their next guest on to say a bunch of ridiculous racist bullshit. maybe you guys missed the dream team article, or any of whitlock's other work--e.g., his column claiming that the psu administrators, because they are men, intrinsically understood and tolerated jerry sandusky's sexual impulses. but i didn't, and i don't know why the athletic department would be ok with helping whitlock's career. the guy is as bad as the freep morons.

Whitlock repeatedly referring to the Ohio Buckeyes is hardly inconspicuos and awesome to hear on a national radio show.

Too many pussies out there. I am glad I am not a politician. I would have to lie more, start stealing, take bribes and fuck off at work all day. People need to start being up front and if you offend someone apologize.
