Hoke classy on SVP show

Submitted by DMIKEGOBLUE on

When Van Pelt asked him about MSU missing out on a BCS bowl, he responded by saying, "I feel bad for Michigan State, they got a bad break by losing the championship game, we were lucky to be in our situation"

I love how he represents our University.

for hoke to go out of his way to say he felt bad for msu spoke volumes.  think dantonio would ever say that about um?  better yet, imagine how hoke would have handled the "little brother" comment were he msu's coach?  instead of poking jabs at a college kid's height and ominously pontificating about pride before the fall, i'd hazard to guess hoke would have said something like "that team has a right to be say what they say because they beat us on the field today, we respect their program, but we look forward to another shot at them next year."

hoke may be the classiest coach we've ever had here, bo included (flash back to bo head phone smashing rose bowl tirades).

Of course Hoke was classy.  Hoke is classy.  Can you imagine any circumstances under which Hoke and Denard would finish a great Big Ten Championship Game and then immediately start talking shit about Michigan State?  Those two schools and programs just behave differently.

Dion Simms (@MSUCollege Boy) is not being so classy like most other Spartans.

"LOL Uof M in the sugar bowl ??????  They bout to get embarrassed"

"They probly only put them there cuz this the first time they made it or got the chance to a real bowl game these past few years lol"

If MSU hadn't gone to the championship game, 10-2 Michigan still would have been picked by the Sugar Bowl ahead of 10-2 MSU.  It isn't Michigan's fault that nobody around the country wants to watch MSU play.

Taking that further, if Michigan had lost to Wisconsin in the championship game, MSU still would not be in a BCS Bowl. BSU, TCU, KSU, and Baylor would all probably be picked ahead of them. If TCU was eligible, TCU would have been automatically picked.

Dantonio would've said "oh well, sucks for them...SUCKAS!"

It almost pains me that our coach is so awesome, mature and a class act and their coach is such a DOUCHE and an ass hat and people really think he's okay.

Both he and Brian Kelly...Hoke should never be compared unless it's someone saying they shouldn't be compared.

What I find funny and sad about MSU's reaction to Michigan being in a BCS bowl while they are not is how fast they complained. To develop that sort of complaint so quickly, they were clearly thinking about it before the game. Otherwise the initial response would be disappointment about losing. Instead, they immediately start complaining about UM. They clearly thought at some point during the week "if we lose then Michigan is going to go to a BCS bowl and we won't."

I'd hope no Michigan player or coach would worry about anything other than winning the B1G championship during the week leading up to the game.

Its amazing how the respective fanbases have juxaposed the two coaches.  How Hoke acts is what Dantonio is proclaimed to be, and Dantonio's frequent douchery is all to apparent to those outside looking in.  It's awful.
