I can do without the bluster, but ultimately it doesn't matter. What matters is whether Hoke can win consistently while his players stay out of trouble and leave school with degrees. I like what I see so far in the assistants and recruits he's brought in.

Nothing wrong with pumping up the program. Hoke is anything but arrogant. This is really a story about jealousy, about how obvious it is that Hoke has relighted the enthusiasm of the Michigan faithful and how other programs can only wish they had that kind of support.

The only thing worse than arrogance is false humility. But let us be humble in our return to arrogance.

which is why we just call it Michigan, and call it a day. End of story.

If "this is Michigan" wasn't used in recruiting and positioning the program, something would be wrong. Not to pour salt on a wound, but it sounds a lot better than "our helmet's got wings."

This. Is. Michigan.

Never lost my arrogance.  It's justified at Michigan, of course.  I prefer to call it "pride" but arrogance is good fodder for people who loathe Michigan, so, whatever you call it, I got it.
